Hi Nicki,
Your dinner at Citrocos sounds like it was amazing. You two make such a cute couple. My DH and I will be celebrating our 42nd anniversary in Disney in May, even though our anniversary is 3/15, and I really wanted to try Citrocos. I don't eat any meat, (my DH makes up for that) and I don't eat any tofu, so I think I'll just ask them if they can do something else. Todd has a special gift of getting into restaurants without an ADR. Will he share his secret? Have a great time today!!

Those shrimp and scallops look good! I will have to put Cooke's on my list of places to try now.

They were very good...I was nervous at first because we had tried the Doh Bar once and it was horrible but the real food is much better

Wow, what a good hubby Todd is....paying attention to you in Basin and even getting the right scent! You can tell him any badmouthing you've done about him here has been negated.

So Olive Bread....does that mean there was no Sun-dried Tomato? Uh oh, that's no good! I'm sure I will adore the Olive but I that sun-dried tomato was my favorite!

I was glad to get rid of the tomato, I didnt like it but Todd did...he was sad

We have been many times and he loves it so it was no surprise that he wanted to go back!

So, as luck would have it, back in October I changed our 12/15 adr at Via Napoli to La Hacienda(going for two nights for Pam's birthday). Tried to change it back last night, but no availability. Can Todd take care of that for us? Have fun!!

I sounds like a wonderful anniversary - start to finish (with the exception of the stop at the concierge desk after dinner ) Hope you enjoy your relaxing day today - and your dinner and party tonight. No worries about getting pics of the hot waiters at Via Napoli. I managed to grab a dinner reservation there for our last night at 7:45. We're planning to see the Osborne Lights go on and want to catch Illuminations later so this time seems to be perfect. I'm not telling DD though - one final surprise for her birthday trip.

Hi Joan! Happy early anniversary to you! Citrico's has a great chicken and pasta dish, we had that last year and it was excellent.

We were up early this morning and drove to the Beach Club for our Cape May Breakfast, Todd was so happy I think his stomach was smiling

They are in the middle of the gingerbread house and carousel.

They were giving out tiny square samples of the gingerbread....one word..BLECH! This is not the gingerbread that we know and love from the bakeries, this is sticky and gummy and too sweet and hard to swallow..ICK!

Onto the real food...oh yeah and characters, where are the characters?

I was so excited to see that you enjoyed Via Napoli as much as we did, it was also one of the best meals (along with Citricos) for us and we intend to visit again in May, I can't wait!!

We checked into Cape May 40 minutes early and were seated right away. The place was half full but they were telling walk ups it would be a 30-40 minute wait. There was a large crowd/convention of people in the lobby waiting.

We kept missing the characters, we were seated in the front and since we were the only table seated they kept walking by us....no worries we caught up with them later.

The fruit was fantastic! Grapes, watermelon, oranges, grapefruit, cantelope, honeydew and pineapple. Very sweet and cold and excellent...better than Boma

My first plate, scrambled eggs (the bestest!), sausage that is crispy and delish, potatoes that had onions and peppers in them and were excellent, biscuits and gravy that had great flavor and tender biscuits, breakfast pizza that was scrambled eggs, cheeses and salsa (OMG this was amazing!)

Todd had the same but minus the link and add the bacon. He loved all of it and cleaned his plate

My second plate, more breakfast pizza, bacon (ick but Todd liked it), corn bread that was very moist and tasty and I loved it! Apple danish that was sweet and moist and tasty and perfect! The best for last, bread pudding, holy breakfast Batman this was incredible!

Todd's second plate, bacon, lemon poppyseed bread, the best cinnamon roll he has had on this trip and corn bread...again he ate it all

Breakfast was out of this world, amazing, excellent, stupendous, to die for wonderful! Much better than Boma was, fresher, quieter, just all around a TEN!!!!

I would eat here again in a heartbeat! We left full and happy and it was well worth the money and the drive to the resort.

I would eat here again in a heartbeat! We left full and happy and it was well worth the money and the drive to the resort.

We just ate here in September and thought it was just OK. I am going to guess it is because we chose a late breakfast, 11:00 am I think, and basically we felt that we had leftovers. Nothing was horrible but nothing was outstanding either. Maybe we will have to give it another try on a future trip.

Edit: After seeing your buffet pictures, I think our ADR was just too late. We had almost the same offerings but I don't remember the grapefruit, egg bake, asparagus, bread pudding and maybe one or two other things. Plus your food looks more fresh! No more late breakfast ADR's for us, I never thought it would make that much of a difference.

What a great Breakfast! I love breakfast, but the rest of the family really aren't fans and those early morning hours are the kids' best ones of the day - so we try to do rope drop and a few hours of solid touring before lunch.
Maybe one day - I'll get one of those breakfast buffets... sigh....
Wouldn't it be cool if like 1 night a week they had "breakfast for dinner" at the Crystal Palace...ok maybe it's just me...

i don't know how your dh is so lucky!! i'm just catching up on everything and i'm kicking myself for not trying via napoli!! since we're having our wedding in 2012 which requires 2 trips, i thought we were taking 2011 off... but NO!! he wants to come back in may because he'll miss the food too much, lol!! i booked us at the GF and grabbed a few reservations this morning. we're still defeated from the dxddp and want to try to do walk up lunches next time... but i'm nervous. maybe he can get the luck your dh has!! we loved citricos as well. the shrimp appy was pretty amazing.

i hope you enjoy your basin!! i had a $121 basin white trip and a $82 basin trip i just couldn't help myself. we had to buy one of those rolling carry ons they had at the gift shop just for my basin stuff

Happy Belated Anniversary! Great reviews and updates!

I'm sorry you didn't like La Hacienda, and I recommended it We didn't try the appetizers and that cheese did look curdled - yuck. I don't like spicy food at all and the tacos were fine for me. Makes me wonder if they are making them more spicy which would be a bummer. The margaritas were outstanding though - but have an outstanding price to match!

Thank you for helping me decide on whether to keep our ADR for Cape May! In fact, I am going to stop thinking about it and keep it for sure. No Boma this time. Wow, hard to believe the Cape May breakfast topped Boma's. The pictures did look great though ... speaking of which, I believe I gained at least 5 lbs just from looking at them. lol If I actually got to eat all the stuff you and Todd do though, I'd weigh 300 lbs!
