Via Napoli looks yummy, thin and crispy, just like a pizza should be

OMG I am in sugar heaven again, dreaming of caramel apples from Germany, and all those treats from Main Street...just as well that anything eaten at WDW has zero calories, isn't it?

Pizza and caramel, they go great together

I am totally avoiding the scale when I get home although I am not eating as much as my partner in crime is

I'm getting a stomach-ache just reading about what all Todd has been eating. However, I must admit that I'm intrigued by his taco salad concoction. I'm keeping it in mind for our upcoming February trip.

we didnt make it to the meet either. our lunch at san angel (excellent btw) ran long and we peeked in there around 1:45 and didn't see anyone. maybe next time!!

I am killing myself with the caramel...Todd came up with a fantastic idea and we will try it out before we leave, go to Italy which is right next door and get vanilla gelato and then hoof it to Germany and beg for a blob of caramel

OMG I did it, I finally did it...now I see what all the hype is about! I took a nap!!!! I was lounging in bed around 4 trying to find Oprah up here in Orlando and the next thing I know DH is shaking me to pieces telling me its late and he is hungry. It was 5:30!

I felt sluggish and cranky and I just wanted to sleep...plus I had a headache and my throat was dry.

DH: Come on, we are going to Epcot to eat dinner

ME: Where are we going?

DH: I just told you, Epcot

ME: What place Einstein

DH: I dont know yet, I'll see what I feel like when I get there

ME: Go by yourself, take the camera

DH: GET UP!

So I got up, staggered to the bus stop and the first bus was Epcot. DH grinned like he freakin planned it

Epcot was pretty quiet, we pulled in a few minutes after 6 and I started the country game, I name them off and he shoots them down.

He suggests walking around to see what is available....like this is something I want to do right? I could sitting at Il Mulino right now.

We pass Mexico, nope we had that the other night. Norway, no way. China, not even if it was the last place on earth. Germany, no way pal you and sauerkraut means we get Nicki her own hotel room. Ah Italy...Hey Nic lets eat at that place we had yesterday.

ME: You mean Via Napoli? The place I had ressies for originally and YOU made me cancel them?

DH: Whatever, the place with the pizza and the waiters you flirted with

Ah crap, he did notice

I about lost it I had ressies for this place and cancelled them for Il Mulino. Then he wasnt feeling pasta and now he wants another Italian place?

Ok Sherlock, go see if you can get us in. There are people all over the place but knock yourself out.

He disappears, I am sitting at a table outside with my cell phone trying to get us into something....except...(wait for it)..he comes out and says "Ok we have a table, lets go"

I cannot take this anymore I think he is secretly calling and booking ressies and making me think he is lucking out and getting walk ups. This isnt fair...I kill myself for months and he messes me up and then fixes it back up again! I could handle it if he didnt always pick the line that moves the quickest, the park where the bus comes first etc etc....you know what I mean right? My very own Mr. Luckypants...now go win me the lotto

So off he drags me into Via Napoli and it is very loud, very busy and has a new crop of hot guys. I would take pics but the little cuties move to fast for the camera!

Our server was Antonio, another my height size Italian that gave all his attention to me and ignored the German man sitting across from me

We each tried the aqua frescos, I had the strawberry which was very mild and he had the lemon that was very strong and too sweet

I was in a salad mood and Todd always eats salad so we shared the mixed greens with peppers, mushrooms, olives, cucumbers and tomatoes with red wine vinagrette....it is a 2 person order only for $10 but one of us could have easily polished it off. The salad was fantastic, very fresh and delish!

Todd had the spaghetti with a ton of meatballs and ate the entire plate. The pasta was cooked to a perfect al dente and had just enough sauce. The meatballs are packed with flavor and very tender. The bugger didnt even offer me any and I had to shoot him the Italian eyeball which basically says "Hand over your pasta and no one will get hurt"

I had the candele which is like a baked ziti with sausage meatballs (or sausage balls), ricotta that is so thick and creamy and mozzarella. This dish was excellent and a bit rich but I was able to kill off the entire plate...and I DID offer him some

We had coffee and shared a dessert. They are little fried ricotta donuts with a rich dark chocolate for dipping and fresh whipped cream. I think there were 12 donuts in the cone. Awesome awesome amazingly awesome. Not greasy, not too sweet, just right!

Another irresistable meal at Via Napoli, a huge hit with this family.....wonder if we will eat here again this week????

After dinner Todd tells me I do not look so good...I look pale and tired. Well jeez babe thanks alot.

Honestly I was exhausted and my throat was killing me. We came back to the room, had some tea with honey and I laid down to rest and just woke up a bit ago...thought I would post our dinner review.

Tomorrow is our anniversary and we have no plans at all. We were thinking of taking it easy and go to DTD to see a movie and grab lunch. Now I am thinking I may just sleep for a while and rest until our dinner at Citrico's as there is no way either of us wants to miss that.

Plus I need to NOT get sick so I can go to Cali Grill and MVMCP!

Might have to run to the store for some throat meds. There are so many people coughing and sneezing around here I must have picked something up....darn it

ok,ok,I am totally booking Via Napoli in less then 2 weeks.All those pictures look amazing.Thanks for helping me decide our last adr we needed.I think the 3 kids can share a large pizza.I need to try the Lasagna Verde.Everything looks so good.Glad you guys are having so much fun.Hope you start feeling better.Have a great Anniversary tomorrow.

Unfreaking believable. I say we don't even bother with ADR's next year and we just let Todd pick a place each day for the four of us.

I'm going to bed shortly--have another busy day at the office (haven't had time to update my TR with keeping an eye out on your updates) and have to go to the surgeon for my yearly follow up tomorrow. So I just want to say:

I am thrilled to hear that you enjoyed Via Napoli. Someone who's Italian liked it! Yay! Now, I realize I've never met you, but I'm guessing that gives you enough credentials when it comes to Italian food.
Too bad that they were out of the arancini....I love them and had them at Citrico's last year and didn't think they were that great there. Oh well... And you ordered the zeppole for dessert tonight...that's what I want when we go.

I can't believe how hard it is to keep up with your live report. Maybe I should just find someplace comfortable to go for the next few days, take off from school, so I can give your report the full attention it deserves. Just kidding.... kind of.

I have been on the restaurant boards almost daily for eleven years, and rarely have I looked forward to checking anyone's reviews a couple of times each day as I have yours! I am so enjoying living Disney dining through you!

I am so surprised by your experience at La Hacienda (we have upcoming dinner ADRs there)! Most of the reviews I had read prior to yours raved about it (thinking of Allears reviews, in particular). On the other hand, the reviews about Via Napoli have been more mixed--so I switched out ADR's to lunch instead of dinner. After reading your two fantastic reviews--you have me second-guessing that change.

I hope you have a FANTASTIC wedding anniversary at WDW! We celebrated our 25th (belated in May) and will celebrate our 26th on the actual date in February at the Cali Grill. I will be watching your review of that restaurant closely as our one other experience at that restaurant was not impressive.

As far as your cold, I hope you feel better! It's a drag to feel bad while on vacation. You might try Thera-flu daytime and some vitamin C and see if that helps. That's my treatment of choice!

I love CHH! I've been wanting to try the fried shrimp, good to know it got the Nicki the DRE seal of approval. Now I know what I'm eating on Dec 14 for lunch.

Nicki, are you really surprised about Todd getting in to eat where he wants with no ADR? This always happens!!! You should test it one day and walk up at Le Cellier just to see if they give him a table. If they do, I want to borrow him for my trips so I can not make any ADR's and wing my dining choices based on what I feel like! You could pimp him out - Todd the ADR Charmer!

Oooh anniversary dinner at Citricos...what fantastic choice. But you know that! Ask for Kiera or the blonde Nancy if you don't already have a particular server there you like.
