I wonder if anyone can help. A fellow UK RAF serviceman will be returning from 4 months service in Kabul, Afghanistan in August this year and would love to take his family to WDW and stay onsite on his return.

He has listened to us raving on about WDW and DVC so much that he wants to treat his family to their "holiday of a lifetime" and we suggested that we thoroughly enjoyed ASMo and his kids love Toy Story.

Being British Military, we are not entitled to any discounts, but wonder if anyone has access to any codes for discounts for September?

He would be so excited when he comes home if his DW had managed to make a ressie and got an excellent price!!

Thanking you all in anticipation of your help.

Value Season is from: Aug 25-Oct. 2. you save 20% on your All Star Room!:D

Based on my experience last year I'd book AllStar for the week you want at the best rate you can get now. Keep looking here and MOUSESAVERS.COM. We had a ressie for AllStar for $107 per night for the first week in March, a busy time. Late in Jan., I found a code here that got me Port Orleans, a better resort, for $99 so we just switched. If nothing turns up by the cancellation date, you can always cancel and go off-site. It's a little early for codes for the time you want, but I think you'll do OK. We have Dolphin in Nov. for $129, but I'm keeping my eyes open.

Good luck,

The All Star rate during the Value season is $77 a night. However, if you join the Disney Club, you can get 20% off of that, bringing it to $62 a night. You can also get a slight discount on your park tickets with your Disney Club membership. The membership is $39.95 a year. http://www.disneyclub.com

I got AllStars Movies (Toy Story requested) for Sept 29th thru Oct 4th for $69/night - tax included. We got this with Disney Club Discount. I'm still hoping later this summer a rate of $49 will come out like last year, but $69 ain't too shabby either.

Just a note on the Disney Club Membership, many employers are corporate sponsers of this and if where you work does this - the membership is $29.95

Also once you join - no matter if your employer sponsers this or not renewals are $29.95

Just an FYI!

Hi, VickiVM! I, too, have ASMo (Toy Story requested) for 09/29 to 10/05 for $69/night. I can't wait! If the $49 rate comes out, can we change our reservation to that rate for the same dates?

lacy1101, I don't have the definitive on that...from all the various responses here on the boards, I get so confused. The real important catch is that with a coded rate there are usually a low supply of rooms available at that rate (even though there are plenty of rooms unoccupied). So even if I get a postcard code rate of $49, when I call there may not be rooms at ASMovies - Toy Story. Maybe the only rooms available at that rate are at Music or Sports. So I am happy with $69 because I got where I wanted.

Thanks, VickiM! I used these boards for our last trip in October '99. Pretty invaluable! I'm really looking forward to our trip this year. We were in ASMu last trip and it was just fine. I think the kids will love ASMo, though, especially if we get in one of the infamous Toy Story buildings. I think our rate is great! If it doesn't get any better, no problem. Looking forward to seeing you more on the boards!
