We just got back from a great week long trip. Lots of friendly cast members to interact with. My DS (2) is Deaf, though uses hearing aids and will talk your ear off all day long.

We stopped by guest services in our hotel and they happily printed us out a schedule and list of what's interpreted when at all the parks.

The only problem was, on our one day at MK that matched the interpreter schedule, everything was off. We were thrilled at the idea of getting to ride the Jungle Cruise with an interpreter, DS adores animals and knows the sings for them all,but we waited and waited with no sign of anyone. Chatted with a couple of cast members who thought that was scheduled for the afternoon, not the morning like our print out said. Hmmm. Sad, but no huge loss, we figured we must have just written down the wrong time.

Later, when we got back to the room, I looked at the printout from the hotel guest services. Apparently if you're Deaf you get to time travel. My interpretation offerings included Tarzan Rocks and Cindercellebration! A little out of date maybe?

Lesson learned? Ask directly at the parks and connect with someone early in the day. Just getting info at your hotel isn't enough. (duh)

Sorry to hear that.
The Guidebook for Guests with Disabilities has the following information:
"Guests should request confirmation of our interpreted performance schedule a minimum of 7 days in advance by calling Walt Disney World Resort Information at (407) 824-4321 [voice] or (407) 827-5141 [TTY]."

Which is not much help if you pick up the Guidebook on day one of a 7 day trip.
This is a situation where I guess you need to know the phone number ahead of time so that you can call before your trip. But, unless you know to call ahead of time, you won't have the phone number ahead of time.:confused3
