:goodvibes And its much appreciated :grouphug:

I wish that I knew how to post a link. It was something like "Can I change from AoA to pop" or something like that. I rushed over to the rescue and found a lot of RCers had done the same. Gotta love the RC Spirit. We need a slogan like Superman or the US postal service. Any suggestions.....

We can use our thread names over the years.

Happy double digits to those who are moving into the ZONE. I haven't stopped moving this week. I'm looking for tee shirts but I don't like the new "flimsy" tee shirt materials. We need new Mickey and new Goofy shirts for this trip. We have decided to wear our Eagles tee shirts one day and some sort of Virginia Tee shirt on another day. I know that it seems corny but it is tradition for us. My DS(17) is staging a silent protest....just not speaking on it at all. Gotta love a 17-year-old.... I'm still trying to get into CR....Every morning the same thing... "we only have a 1br CL room) So NOT in our budget this year with the way that we are traveling. I still have not landed the ever elusive dinner with an imagineer....:sad1: So far this is not a wish trip for him, although he doesn't know what we are trying to do for him.
:sad1::sad1:

:sad1::sad1:

Is this a Make A Wish trip? If so I know that when my grandson had his Make A Wish trip they were wonderful about arranging a dinner with an imagineer.

So NYE is short lived...the crowds freaked me out and $2600 for 1 night...not the bestest idea :rotfl: So I switched to two Royal rooms in November...I have to say I think I'd rather do AoA....:rolleyes1

I am sorry...I am trying to get my girls to the castle...really hoping Bree makes the 40 inch mark soon...she said she forgot what the castle looked like :goodvibes

:banana::banana::banana:

November might be pushing it too :confused3 Start training on Friday VERY NERVOUS

Marathon weekend...ugh

I wish we could fit in a family suite...

:goodvibes And its much appreciated :grouphug:

Princess rooms sound perfect!! What a neat surprise that would be! :goodvibes How close to 40 in is Bree now? Wouldn't it be wonderful if she hit that mark for your next trip? Mid November is still 4 1/2 mos away!:goodvibes

As for the AOA suites - Janet and I were just saying the other day how the suites tend to be a little more boy-ish design (did you see the shark shower curtain in the Nemo suite? That thing would scare me!!) and LM, the only regular rooms, are totally girlie. Funny that Disney didn't think to do one of the Suite designs at LM and the rooms as Beauty and the Beast, which could appeal to both little boys and girls.:confused3

Happy planning...or should that be cha cha changing?:thumbsup2

I changed my dates to the 6th-10th! I didn't have to wait at all for an agent to pick up which was super exciting and surprising! :goodvibes I'm downloading so many Disney apps on my phone it is ridiculous. I need to find a good picture from WDW to put as my wallpaper. I don't know if I want the castle or the picture of a ride or what. I am so indecisive.

Pas Congrats on your new job. 2600 for 1 night.:lmao:That's like 10 days at an epcot resort.

Pixarmom I'm glad to see you around. I'm sure you're busy planning your upcoming cruise.

To everyone else hello.

I have been on the dis as much since I have no upcoming trips planned. I have been doing a lot of school work with the kids. Nope no summers off for them. We just took a quick trip to So-Cal. 1 day at Indian wells, another in Irvine. We did make it out to Corona Del Mar for a day at the beach. We're hoping to make it back in August.

I'm having some serious second thoughts about upgrading to AP's again. I bought 10 day hoppers and water park no expiration tickets. I'm thinking I might be able to stretch these out into 3 trips over 24 months. My family wants to do the Eastern and Western Carribean cruises. We also like going to Universal and we want to visit Seaword and BG. 3 days at the parks with 3 days at the Wp, throw in the new bowling alley, and a resort day would still give us a good week at Disney. Combine that with a 7 day cruise or a week at the HRh. I think I may go this route then there is no pressure to cram in 3 trips in 1 year. We did do 4 trips plus a cruise and 2 trips to Universal in one year. It was a little excessive, and I have no idea how I made the money for that. It's all kind of a blur at this point.

I do have a reservation in Dec, but that's not set in stone. I seriously have no idea what I'm going to do, and I put the deposit down on the Fantasy for Oct next year. :goodvibes

For some reason I have "Here We Come to Save the Day! Don't Keep Your Changing at Bay!" to the tune of The Mighty Mouse theme. :rotfl:

Pas: Makes total sense, the newest change. $2600 is :scared1: We've booked two nights at POR in the Royal Guest Rooms for our trip in September. I'd be having your conundrum right now if the LM rooms were open at the AoA. Instead we're just doing that in January instead. Got to get AoA out of my system...

Minnie&Nana: About the boy-ish vs. girlie rooms! I know! I was hemming and hawing over AoA and ASMo for this January trip. Since we'll be going with my parents and my brother and his family, I'm trying to convince my brother that the LM room wouldn't be that bad for his 9 year old son. :thumbsup2:laughing:

Lillian Gracey: That sounds like a nice switch. I was worried about the marathon interfering with our January trip but I think it'll just be the crowds left over from NYE for us now. Uh-oh. :confused3

:wave2: everyone!! Life has been a bit overwhelming lately … and looking at the thread today – Yikes!! Just trying to play a little catch up ….

MM: Will be watching the TV tonight for glimpse of your DD being honored …. I only hope that our MLB package with Direct TV will show the pre game ceremony. And congrats to you DD’s straight A report card!! Way to go!

BTW we saw Brave too on opening night … and we loved it!! DD wants to go again!

Magic, Deena, Heather ... hope you are all keeping safe thru this TS!

Hannah: Beautiful ring!! And AoA is a great choice!! :cool1:

Deena: Hope the eye feels better:hug:

GG: Wow! Bears and earthquakes in the same week?? Oh my! (happy you are safe:hug:)

KooK: Whew! That must have been scary … happy that no one was injured in the fire. It was great chatting with you too :goodvibes

Basketlacey: Gorgeous, happy kids! :goodvibes

JC: Hey Sarah we need to drag Jeannette out soon as we need to do a celebratory lunch/dinner (oh, already told Pas we are doing this …. You are in, right??:upsidedow Dani, care to join us??

Dani: Yeah for losing more pounds! Keep it coming … off! And :dance3: for being PIF!!

Pas: NOTHING you do will ever surprise me my friend …. Hope the family vacation plans work out for November as I know how much this would mean to you now. I want to say congrats on booking the Royal rooms but know that will give way to something else shortly ...

Gwynne, Magic, JC, Pas ….. I had no idea about the baba booey cupcake!! Had to send this news off to my DH who of course knew all about them!

Sheila: Hope you have been keeping cool by dreaming of December. :santa:

StepDisney: Happy the school year is over for you … and lots of :pixiedust for the CR room!

Marie: Hope you survive the British invasion!! :) Just think to yourself …. Poly, Poly, Poly! Congrats to your young DS on the no frills job.

Padawans … Like your strategy on using the 10 day PH over 24 months instead of getting the AP … makes senses and less empowered to cram your Disney vacations into year and especially since you like Universal and and have a cruises planned… of course I know that can change ….

Miss, Hannah: How's Chicago?? Coming your way soon with my DD! Wish I had the freedom to meet up with you guys!

I apologize for missing anyone!!

We are getting ready to head down to Boston!!!! For those of you trying to watch, it's actually going to be after the 4th inning, and he will be standing on the dugout for the recognition. We have been advised that this is not always televised but we get a video of it and it will be on the HD jumbotron...I will be sure to take bunches of pics and will post them here. :goodvibes

Heya! :wave2: Glad to hear you liked Brave. I've been reading some mixed reviews; we're determined to take the kiddo to see it though. Will be her first theatre experience. Oh my.

Oooooh! We'll just take a Janet Raincheck then. What's on your agenda with your DD? It's been lovely weather here lately. Off-and-on HOT, HOT, HOT... with no rain, ever. So everything is crunchy. Sunny but crunchy.

Yes, do so ... my DD is 14 and really liked the main character ... nice to have a strong female (fiesty) lead .... and who can resist those rascally triplets! Her friend, who is 10 really enjoyed it too.

The wild curly hair on Merida reminds me of my DD ... that and just the little of the battle of wills between Merida and the Queen ... good thing my my DD doesn't read the DIS....

NOTE TO GG: There are bear sightings .... just sayin' :rolleyes1

Go for it!!

We will be visiting DD's BFF in Salem, Wisconsin and it's cheaper to fly into Ohare than the Milwaukee airport ... and both are less than an hour away from where they live so it's not a problem for my friend to pick us up.

Then it hit me!! both you and Hannah are IN chicago ... wish there were a way to meet you both ... but never fear, believe a trip will be in order, at least by next summer and then we will get definite plans put together in advance.

Bear sightings!!! :rotfl2: DH and I were talking the other day and we've actually had 4 up close and personal bear encounters all in different locations.

So much happening with my RC Family :goodvibes

Pas holy moly $2600 :faint:

Hannah the new dates sound good :thumbsup2

MM all I can say is WOW

Janet yep staying cool the weather here was gorgeous today the heat broke after yesterday's storms :)

Made my reservation for the CP with Whoopie Dec 1

Hope everyone has a great evening !

Hi everyone...

First I have to say sorry, I seem to be coming here to vent lately or talk about my problems! Not really RCing am I? I have to share one more thing...

I am worried about my mom. She is 72, her and my dad live in a lovely little bungalow in an adult community. It is perfect for them. My mom has always had many many health issues. She had 5 kids, and gave birth back in the day when they let you labor for hours on end, and then basically pulled out the baby, no caring what they did to her body.
So needless to say she has huge problems with her bowel and bladder. She had a bout with bladder cancer about 10 years ago, just before DH and I got married. It has come back a few times, but overall she has been very lucky. But, she does get very frequent bowel "attacks" as she calls them. Her stomach swells, she has alot of pain, and it is sooo hard to watch her going through this. She has had every test under the sun, and they have basically said she has something between "mega"bowel and IBS.
The doctors have told her that one day, one of these attacks could be fatal, should she not get to the ER promptly. Anyhoo, she is having one of these attacks now, and has been since last week. I saw her today, and she is very swollen, her face is flushed, and her whole stomach is swollen too. When I first walked in and saw her I tried not to show my alarm.
She had been to the dr., and they gave her another requisition for an ultrasound on July 4. I am just so worried. I cried all the way home in the car taking DD3 to preschool. I feel like something bad is about to happen.
I don't know what I or my DD's would do without her. :sad2:

Thank you for letting me get this off my chest, and I wish I had some light hearted RCing to share!!:flower3:

Jen

Jenny No need for apologies! Family supports one another in happy times and sad times, and we are all here for you! :grouphug: I say you are right to be concerned for your DM, I would get her to the hospital to get checked out! Those symptoms don't sound good...better to get looked at especially if she's in that much discomfort, and with her history. Praying things get better ASAP!

PAS I vote for the Nov family trip! Lower crowds trump everything for me! I've heard Nov is beautiful weather too!

JANETThanks for the well wishes on the m/fIL trip! So far the British Invasion is survivable! :rotfl: only 5 days to get through, and I work 2 of them! Which is why I'm a little inactive lately, busy with family and keeping the IL's happy :) I think after they go home on Sunday, I will go with a friend on Monday ( Canada Day and a STAT for us :yay:) to see Brave! :cool1: I'm really looking forward to seeing that! Thanks as well for DS well wishes! Going into week 2 of his job,and so far so good...he's doing well and liking it :goodvibes
I'm holding fast and dreaming of the POLY daily! :cloud9: very excited for our trip!
Hope you all have a happy Wed/hump day! It's DH's 44 bday....well be celebrating at home, as he's a homebody :) I'll try to make it special for him, may stop and get him a cake after work  I    my guy, he's a good man! And we are so lucky he's ours

TTY'all soon! :grouphug:

@Janet: Awe! I am 20 minutes form O'Hare. You will definitely have to come here again! The weather is just awful. :sad2: It is so hot! Ugh! And this is coming from someone who wants to move to Florida. Though I can handle the heat if it means being near WDW the rest of my life. ;)

Good Morning!

Jenny, I second what Chimo suggested. We're here when you need us - resort-related or not.

I haven't had a chance to go back and read yesterday's installment, but I look forward to it later today when DD's at volleyball:)

Happy Wednesday RCers,

Such fun yesterday to have RC friends join the double digit dance! :dance3::goodvibes

Luv, Hope your eye is much better. Looking forward to hearing about your Florida adventures. :goodvibes

Missountandabout,
Those phones will make us techno-hip, with it mommas. We'll probably have to learn to use them first, though. :rotfl2:
And...I'll be singing the Mighty Mouse theme in my head today. Here we come to save the day! That's us RCers, for sure!:dance3:

pas,
Sounds like a great switch. That one night $$ total in NYC might have had one too many zeros on it.

Pixarmom,
A January split between Poly and BWI--Sounds like a fabulous way to start the New Year!:thumbsup2

Lillian,
Woo-hoo for booking your trip! :woohoo:

Minnie&Nana,
The RCer weekend sounds so fun. I can't this time, but will hope it's possible on a future trip. I agree about how the AoA Rooms/suites look...agree it might have been better to be a bit more neutral on the rooms.:thumbsup2

GG,
4 Bear sightings! That might be too close for comfort.

Step,
Love the matching shirts idea! :cool1:

Padawans,
A cruise reservation, what fun!:yay:

Janet,
I want to see Brave! Maybe this weekend. Merinda was at WDW last month, I saw her from a bit of a distance. She was just lovely with the kids that were lined up to visit her.:goodvibes

sjs,
CP with Whoopie, what a great evening! :cool1:

Jenny,
Totally understand, that must be so worrying. Thinking of you and your mom.

Chimo,
Happy Birthday to your DH! :cake:

Kook,
Always good to say hi! :goodvibes

Waving hi to anyone I've missed
Now, I'm off to :laundy: I think the smilie is more fun than the reality.:rotfl2:
