So I did my Excel sheet for September, and from the looks of it there's a MNSSHP on Friday the 28th, and Sunday the 30th.

I booked the California Grill for the 28th so I can watch from the catwalk!! Then I'll go on the 30th!! Although I doubt the bounceback will include values... I'm going to see when I get there and book if it's available! I'd like to have it paid in full as soon as we get back, then get the airfare and be done!! Can we really keep this together???

This is so much fun! Looks like Mickey may be hosting his Halloween party on the 30th for RCers!

I asked Reid if it was ok if Mommy & Daddy didn't dress up. He got all sad & told me "No." I am working on costume ideas. I definitely want us to dress with a theme. I have no problem finding him a costume. I can usually find Ed one in any theme I choose. It's myself where I have the problem. Why does every female costume have to be "Sexy"? UGH - frustrated!

YAY!! It's getting better by the day!! So many of us coming for the same weekend! Yes, it looks like Sept 30 MNSSHP might be a great night for our little get together! I'm looking forward to my first MNSSHP....I'm not dressing up, but I remember having a blast at the Pirate and Princess party in Jan 2008, so I think MNSSHP will be just as great!!! Can't wait! and double blessing is getting to say hello to some of my favourite people!!

I wish I had a problem spending money. I have the opposite problem.

I am actually great at saving money. I just spend it once I save up enough to buy what I want.

Plus, I have to remember that due to the size of our income tax refund, all $ spent will be replenished, minus about the cost of the airfare....so almost like it never happened....

Ahhhh...thought you had a super special power over the gov't or something...you are a padawans - I thought you were using the force or something.

Yeah, we should really have our exemptions revised but that's how we've done it forever....and it's always nice to get that $4500 check at the end of the year!!!

Has anyone ever booked more days than they wanted then cancelled some of the days later just to get the days the really want? When I try booking just the weekend WV room I want at BWI it is not avAilable but I can book it for the entire week. Oh what to do

I have. It was one of the funniest phone calls I ever made to CRO. I was trying to get a set of dates, couldn't without an extra days. The CM was SO NICE! She walked me through, sweetly and firmly telling me book your extra days, and if you can't magically get extra vacation days, then just call us back in a couple of days and drop the extras. Finally I "got" what she was telling me I should do. I booked, dropped, worked like a charm. It's probably in my file that I'm dense.....

I really hope Be Our Guest will be open!

Ugh the heat Well snce it IS a HRH birthday trip... I'll tweak the dates a little this way we can do MNSSHP Sept 30th....and the rest of the trip we will chill at the pool and RPC...this is the dream mom/HRH trip....

You need to book one night somewhere like I do. Then you can change it at will whenever the mood strikes. It won't screw up your whole vacation, and it satisfies that urge.

I am trying to limit my changing these days to dining reservations. It's less complicated.

I have been working on booking our dining reservations for the trip with hubster in the fall. I've planned an extra special dinner out for just the two of us, should be fun!!
Won't be able to book the Party for the Senses until summer, but am so looking forward to PFTS. We will take our daughter and her fiance with us this year.

Finally, it won't be long until I visit our daughter and her fiance next month!
Should be fun at POFQ. She always loves Cape May, so we'll have a yummy dinner there.

We're on the countdown!

No special powers. My dh trade stocks as a second job/hobby. He takes care of the tax stuff. Ours are very complicated. I don't know how he does it. Could you see me trying to buy stocks? I can't even decide which resort to stay at.

I just changed my 2 nights CSR to 1 night BW Cl. My triple Cl split stay is back on. This trip my one night stand is at the BW. I'm doing good I can still remember my changes. BC/WL/AKL/CSR and now BW Cl....uh oh I just got this feeling I might have forgetten one. Hmm...Oh well cant remember. Take note my Poly/Yc split has not changed in over 2 months. So you see it works.

The only stock I'd buy is Disney (go figure) and Target...I spend a lot of money there too!! well, technically part of my 401k is in stocks, but I have no idea which ones...awesome, huh? And we leave the whole tax thing to the professionals...we wouldn't dare tackle them ourselves!

Ooohhh I love Target! We still have to make a special trip down to Buffalo to go to one, but soon we are getting them here in Ontario! YAY! I just hope it is the same merchandise...not a canadianized (not a real word!) version!

in the military, we always got a nice refund! Now we owe! I have 13 days until the tax man demands their share! Drawing it out as long as possible, stark contrast to when I wanted to be first to get it done and filed!

? Do you know if I could just buy PH ers for the boys? Or does it have to be bought for everyone on the reservation? My 16yo is giving me a hard time for having entertained the thought of dumping the Phopper this trip!

I like my refund, but we are still super slow about doing our return. We just don't have time, life is too crazy...but the money is nice!!! I guess we are lucky not to have to depend on it. We have friends who file as soon as they can because it's basically already spent.

With the park hoppers, if you buy a package, everyone has to have the same tickets but, you could upgrade the boys' tickets to hoppers when you get down there I believe.

Rotating between days and nights would be difficult. I can only work dh's days off which are t/w/sa. It's good because it keeps me on a regular schedule, but bad because I never see my dh. He works 12 hours rotating between days and nights. People ask me why I homeschool. It's actually easier for us with our crazy crazy work schedules. Luckily we have a community center where they get lots of socialization, and they are naturally very social anyway. One of these days I'm going to ship them to grandma's and take a vacation without them. They love being homeschooled, but a lot of days I am like this. Congrats on your award.


I think I might try to turn my 2 nights a CSR into one night CL somewhere, and then add a night at HRH. So much for trying to save a couple hundred dollars. I tried.... really I did. Time to make some calls

Well....it's happening again. I am even making myself crazy!! Have noticed that POR is open again with free dining. Now this is going in circles, but since we upgraded, some other things have also come up for us this year and DH also wants to do some major things around the house.

So....talked to DH about going to POR for a whole lot less. But he still says NO!!! AND he threatened to take away my 2013 trip (s) if I don't stop! I think I have made myself sick with constantly thinking of how much $$$ could be saved by making a change.

I know we have an attachment to the Poly, but why am I still going on like this!! I am stirring my own pot!

That's what we do my dear...it's all good!!!! We do usually end up back to square one though....but then the availability gets tricky...stay at Poly...

Hi everyone!

We have been here since Friday and are having an amazing time. I posted on the GF thread some photos of the construction. We can't see or hear it from SL, so it isn't bothering us. We went over the the WL last night. after dinner we sat on the rocking chairs outside and watched the sun go down. it doesn't get much more relaxing than that.

Pas, congrats on your nursing award, you deserve it.

This thread moves so fast I am not sure when I will catch up. However, Dani, I hope your little guy is home and recovered!

Well .... today I did something impulsive ... booked AoA for the Sept 28th long weekend!! Have to run it by DD since she will miss 1-2 days of school.

I asked HRH this morning if she wanted BC or a mini beach trip...she picked the beach...so since I cancelled Myrtle Beach...back looking...2 less WDW days...but it's OK.....we can decompress at the beach...however I think WL will be good for relaxing too
