Sad to say that we couldn't get our large party into California Grill on our desired day and time but we were offered Artist Point as a good appropriate replacement. Any comments or alternatives. Party of 10.

YUM!! we had a party of 8 and the service was great and the food wonderful. it is a excellent restaurant and a great dining experience. enjoy!

We didn't have a large party, however, we loved Artisit Point. The food and atmosphere were great! Our server was great also. Good Luck!

Enjoy! You won't go wrong. Plus, if you aren't staying there, you'll get to visit one of the most beautiful resorts and lobbies at WDW. :)

sorry but I am on the other side here..the food was great but our server was down right mean...it was our first night there, party of 7. making small talk we mentioned we had only gotten there that day. he sniffed and said "I can tell".. things continued in that vain the whole time, like we were scum.how rude by the way we had cleaned up after we got in so it was like we were smelly or something, he was just a jerk (pardon my language)

Sorry to hear that jann1033..but I must say if he were our server I would have definitely summoned a manager and asked him/her to switch servers but sometimes that may be tough to do depending on the situation.

On that note, you should send WDW an email about that incident. Do you remember the server's name?? I would never put up with that especially at AP, it's such a nice place. They would definitely hear from me if something like that happened to us.

We've always had good experiences at AP. Excellent food, excellent service and wonderful atmosphere. I highly recommend it. I'm sure jann1033's experience is unusual (but unfortunately it can happen at any restaurant, just a shame it happened at WDW, a place to escape the odds of it).

Artist Point is very good! We just had our family of three dine there but we thoroughly enjoyed it. Our service was excellent and so was our meal. We felt very relaxed there. Enjoy!!

My DH and I will be trying Artist Point for the first time in October! My DD wanted to go to one of kids clubs, so she'll try Cubs Den while we have dinner!

I've read the menu over and over and there are many dishes I would love to try! And I definitely want the Berry Cobbler for dessert!!

Can't wait!!! Enjoy!!!

I've never been to AP, but some good friends who are WDW fanatics say it is the best restaurant in all of WDW!

I had the pleasure of dining at Artist Point this past Sunday Night. It was a wonderful experience. The restuarant itself is lovely, the food is divine and our server was the best (Randy). He even had a recipe delivered to the room that I had requested!

Since this was for my birthday, they even printed up special menus wishing me a happy birthday. Plus I was given a very cool Mickey head drinking straw. ;)

We started off with the venison spring rolls, I had the salmon, DH had the pork for the main course, and for dessert DH had the berry cobbler (which he wasn't crazy over) and I had the flourless chocolate cake (which I thought was out of this world, and asked for the recipe).

since no one else had "Mr. Rude" for a server maybe he got left go for lack of appropriate pixie dust behavior. I would definitly go again as the food was great ( course watch me get him again!)

ps.... in my previous post I left out the "not",,, so I repeat...we were NOT smelly (lol),

I love Artist Point. It is my all time favorite at WDW. It is a little more laid back and I must say we have always had excellent service. The resort is beautiful.

We were there August 27 for dinner. Dead, dead, dead.
Good service and good food.
But really for the $, WDW offers better elsewhere.
DH had the salmon that everyone raves about.
When he ordered it, the waitress mentioned that it comes out sushi like (raw or almost raw). She suggested he have the chef just cook it a tad.
DH went along with that and said a few times while eating it that he wish he had not. He liked it, but said it was somewhat dry and guessed it would have been better the way it was meant to be. He liked it, but was more impressed with other meals at WDW.
I had the tenderloin. And although I asked for it VERY well done (and it was -- perfectly) it almost melted in my mouth.
Mine was very good.
We probably wouldn't make a point to return, although we were glad we tried it.
There is a hidden Mickey in one of the murals, BTW.
AP should be a very nice place to eat for a large group.

Agree the venison spring rolls were VERY good too. But for $8 we got two skinny, somewhat long rolls. (6" approx I would guess) Can't say it was $8 worth of good. ;)

We love AP!! DH usually gets the salmon. I got the buffalo steak and was so tender!! Once we tried a meat trio..it had buffalo, rabbit sausage and something else you would not see everywhere. It changes seasonally with fresh meat availability.

Artist Point is our favorite at WDW!! We ate at CG on our previous trip and have to say, my dh and I are among the very few that aren't crazy about it. But AP...whole 'nother story. We love the theming, the food, the server. We had our grown-up meal there while dd was at NeverClub. We loved everything about it.

ok, what about AP vs Citricos or Narcoosee's??? I think I have eaten at all of the other "fine dining" restaurants at WDW and far and away think the Flying Fish is the best of the lot. Same space issue though that I am having with CG - I can't get a PS for my part of 10 that not 5:30 or 9:30.
