Good place to share nice dinner with boyfriend?

Great choice! The resort and restaurant are beautiful, food is great, and very nice atmosphere. The smoky mushroom soup is seriously unbelieveable!

I second the great choice. If you would like to try something different...go with the buffalo steak!!! It's out of this world, along with the smokey mushroom soup!!!

Excellent restaurant for a date. The resort is beautiful and the restaurant has an elegant feel to it. The astmosphere isn't quite as hectic as many Disney places, and you can enjoy a slow, quiet, gormet meal. Make a reservation later in the evening and it will be even more enjoyable, because there will be fewer families with kids.

(Sorry, don't flame me. I love seeing kids enjoying Disney. I don't mind being amongst families most of the time, and am very tolerent of groups who have crying or fussy little ones. Even so, sometimes you just want to sit back, relax, and enjoy some adult time.)

This is an excelent place for a nice evening for just the two of you. The setting is nice and romantic. The food and service is great. It will be a nice experience. We have a favorite server there, Pok, who is very good - ask for her when you go.

After dinner, plan on a walk along the lake to watch the geyser go off on the hour. Maybe take a boat ride over to the Contemporary and back just for the fun of it. Perhaps stay long enough to catch the Electric Water Paegent.

Have a great time.

We love her too! She was great with DS (5 at time) especially, telling him to eat up his dinner or no ice-cream. She took him for a walk around the restaurant so me and DH could pretend we were having a romantic dinner. She was so friendly.

It is a really great restaurant.

DH and I ate here for the first time last February, and we thought it was lovely. We had an early seating, so it was nice and quiet, and the food was fabulous!

AP is an excellent place to share a dinner with with your boyfriend. It is relatively quiet and romantic by WDW standards. The food is very good. My DW and I have celebrated two major anniversaries there and several other dinners because it is one of our favorites. Ask for a table by the windows when you check in at the podium. IMHO, you will not be disappointed. :thumbsup2

P.S. They have a fixed price dinner that includes the mushroom soup and berry cobbler dessert and several choices of entree. It is an outstanding meal. :goodvibes

Thanks everyone. I will make reservations. I think I read that you can take a carriage ride there too. Does anyone know if that's true? I wonder what time the last ride out is. I'd like to incorporate both if I can.

The carriage ride is actually at Fort Wilderness. (Artist Point is at the Wilderness Lodge.) The two aren't very far from one-another, but there will be some travel involved. You can either take a boat, or walk along the one-mile pathway that connects the two resorts.
