At least the launch window is a little later on Friday. My sister works in Cocoa Beach and went to work at 4:30am for a 9am shift, to make sure she could get there. She won’t have that problem on Friday (I hope!).

They just announced the new launch date and time. It is now scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 3rd with a 2 hour window between 2:17PM and 4:17PM.

I would love to be there to see it in person. What an experience it will be when it finally leaves the pad. For your sake, I hope it is Saturday.

I'm just glad they haven't had to transport it back to the Vehicle Assembly Building yet. That would mean a longer delay

Oh, I didn't realize they had a Saturday launch window!! Everything I was hearing was Friday or Monday for the next launch. I'm glad it's Saturday, because then I'll actually be able to watch.

On a semi-related note, at work, I help out with a monthly "hot job leads" sheet. It's just a simple word document with job openings, but we (the rest of the people who work on it and I) do some color coding, and I always make the title and month colors that "go along" with the month. For September, I'm probably going to do red and orange. And I will be the only one who knows that the Artemis patch was part of the inspiration, and that it's not just "fall" colors. Though I'm actually also considering blue and orange. I'll still be the only one who knows the inspiration, and I'm sure no one else will even ask. Yes, I'm THAT person. Ha!

Boom, they just offered up more tickets for the N Atlantis lawn..picked some up, i figure viewing in public spaces would be harder this time due to it being a Saturday.

Oh man. One of my dreams is to see a lunch in person. I'd love for it to be a manned/crewed launch, but I'd take this launch too! But I doubt that will ever happen, seeing as I live in Missouri. So enjoy it for me too!

Excited for today! We are in South Florida - I messaged Kennedy Space Center on Instagram and they said we should be able to see something today even though we are 2.5 hours away. My preschooler is PUMPED. Fingers crossed!

According to NASA they won't begin to even address the current issue until sometime next week and will not be launching during the current window (ends Tuesday) so it is looking more likely like October at the earliest.

I saw that too. Sorry we won’t see it, but hope they figure out the problem & can go in October. Don’t want the whole project getting pushed back.

The launch date is now September 27 and we will be in at Disney's Vero Beach Resort from the 26th to 28th. Need to decide if we want to spend potentially a large part of our one full beach day waiting for the launch. We'll make the decision that morning.

Since the storm is expected after the launch, it may not be affected at all. However, if they still have concerns about problems delaying the launch, they could decide to roll it back to the VAB for protection. Since that takes time, we would know well in advance if that is the decision they make.

To view it from MK, you will want to face east and have as unobstructed a view as possible. You don’t want to watch from Main Street where the buildings would block your view. I would probably stand on the west side of the Hub, with my back to Liberty Square looking towards Tomorrowland. That puts the buildings far enough away that you should be able to see it, provided there aren’t a lot of clouds.

Hopefully it launches before the storm arrives.

You might try the bleachers at tomorrow land speedway the dotted line goes 60 miles to the launch pad, should come into view above the tron construction
