Art the Greeter at the Beach Club

Just got back from 4 days at WDW, 3 nights at the Beach Club, got to see Art 2 of the days. I just watched as he enjoyed pin trading pins, talking with guests and taking pictures.

Now to plan my next trip! Right now its 14 weeks away but I think I might need a quick weekend before that!

Well, not only is Art in many family scrapbooks, as well as wedding videos, he is now 'on display' in my church!! My dd, 13, has been part of a 'welcome to adulthood' group in church. They had to make posters with photos/mementos of their favorite things or memories. There he is, in all his splendor...Art, with Kate. When I asked her why she had chosen her photo of herself with Art, she replied that Art is what Disney is all about....that he makes magic for everyone he sees, and that she looks forward to saying hi on each visit!! Man, that guy has impacted so many people!!! Talk about magical!

I wish DVC would showcase Art in one of the quarterly magazines we get. I sure would like to know more about him. He seems to me like he would have tons of grandkids (all of whom would adore him, of course!) but who knows?

Seeing Art at BCV is certainly one of the things I look forward to when we visit or stay there. A friend of mine stayed in January for her 40th birthday and I told her that she and her hubby HAD to meet Art. Of course he graciously posed for a photo with them to send back to me.

I think Art is one of the lucky people who are doing a job they are PERFECT for!

That is so sweet of your DD I know when he sees this he will feel very very special!!!

Yes he is that gentleman.

He is probably the most humble man I know. I'm very happy that he and I have developed a great friendship during my stays at the Yacht and Beach Club.

Get this, Art told my husband and myself this past March, that in all the years he has worked for Disney, he has never, ever, ever missed a day of work

Has Art ever been given an award by Disney " for beening such a fine Gentleman?

He was presented with the partners of excellence award/pin
in a time where the award really meant something

Now it doesnt take much to get one..

They ran over & asked him for his autoraph. He wrote some very kind words to them & traded some pins. Looking forward to saying "hi" to him again this August..Here they are...

I see in your signature your going to the Pirate & Princess party, I went in Jan it was alot of fun...lots of people were dressed up and the fireworks were awesome!!!

Sometimes they have him greeting over at the convention center, if you ask someone up front or at the bell services desk they usually can tell you where he is or page him.
