Art Smith's Homecoming: fried chicken salad

Looking forward to eating here in December no matter what, but I've been wondering - is the fried chicken in the chopped salad brined and cooked the same as in the entree? I'm not sure I can eat an entire plate of fried chicken anymore, no matter how delicious!
