I'm hoping someone here would be able to help me figure this out logistically. We're vacationing in WDW in May and are spending the first evening we arrive at the Magic Kingdom. We're staying at ASMu and I'm trying to figure out how it would work to arrive at Magic Kingdom by boat.

It's my understanding that the hotel bus won't go to Ticket/Transporation. So ... what's the best way to do this? My MIL has never been to the world and I love the view of MK when you arrive by boat. It's got to be simple but for the life of me I can't figure it out.

TIA for all your help.

Ideas I have are:

1. Take the bus from ASMu to Epcot.
2. Take the Epcot monorail to the TTC.

Another is probably more complicated but:

1. Take the bus from ASMu to DTD (or to Epcot or DHS or AK I suppose).
2. Take the Poly bus.
3. Walk to the TTC from Poly.

I'm not completely sure but I think the only way you could do this is to be at either Animal Kingdom or Hollywood Studios then take a bus to the TTC then get on the boat. Please, someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Thank you so much for the help :goodvibes I knew I'd find the answers I was looking for!

If you have a car just park in the MK's lot and tram to the TTC. Boat from there.

One thing to thing to keep in mind, we went end of Feb last year and since it was slow they only ran the Monorail no ferry from the TTC. This was first thing in the morning, but not rope drop.

We're flying in and taking DME from the airport. Thanks though :) I never considered they might not run the boat ... hmm. Middle of May middle of the day -- hopefully they'd be running at that time. I also plan to ask the CM at our hotel but wanted to have a clue of what sounds right in case I get bad information when I get there.

I would take the bus from the resort to AK, then transfer to the bus to MK. The AK is closest to the All Stars, so that should be quicker than going to DHS. The AK bus to MK will drop you at the TTC and you can then take the ferry over.

Could she take a taxi? Where do they drop off at MK?

It would probably cost about $15, but that may be worth skiping the trip to another park and waiting for another bus/monorail.

Wouldn't the AK to MK bus go to the front gate bus stop at MK, not the TTC?

No the buses from the other parks do not go directly to the MK, they go to the TTC and then from there you can take either the monorail or the ferry to the MK.
