Our plane lands at 10:10 am on day of arrival, I am pretty sure our room won't be ready yet, so if we plan on going to a park, what do we do with our carry on bag? How does all this work? Have you ever had a room be available this early? We will be staying at CBR Jan 21-25.

Is that any type of a holiday weekend? If not your room may be ready when you arrive. If not you can leave your bags with bell services, and you can head to the park. They will give you a 'room key' that they will activate when your room is ready. Think they have a phone # they will give you also to call and check..

it is not a holiday weekend. Can you request early check in?

After 6:00 am (I think) if your room is ready, you will be allowed in. No need to request. If you have any special requests you would like, you may have to wait, or you can just tell them you want first available (if nothing is available)

Oh, forgot, the times we've stayed at CSR, we've arrived in the AM, and have always gotten our rooms when we showed up. Once about 10:30 and once about noon...

I suggest that you use on-line check-in. When you do you are asked what time you expect to arrive. That may improve the chances that your room is ready. In Sept. we did a split stay. Each time our room was ready, although we arrived around noon.

We arrived on a Tuesday in June at 10AM at CSR, had done online checkin, and our room was NOT ready. We got the text message at 4:00 that it was ready. So I would not plan on it. We put locks on our carryon bags and left them with bell services and went to a park.

In many cases rooms are ready early. But...it's always good to plan on the room not being available. You can leave any bags you have with Bell Services/Luggage Assistence. Go off to a park, eat, swim..whatever. You will either be given a number to call later in the day, or you will be called/texted to say your room is ready. You can return then, get your stored bags and settle in.

That time of year is pretty slow at WDW, so unless you've requested some very special room, you will most likely be able to get into a room at 10am with no problem.

If you can't get into a room, you can leave your carry-on with Bell Services, or take it to a park with you and leave it in a locker. It's best to plan for this contingency by making your carry-on bags small enough to fit in a WDW locker.

It's never an issue for me, however. I always have a rental car, so I simply leave my bags in the trunk until I can get into my room on arrival day, and until I go to the airport on departure day.
