Argh. The 20% off coupon can't be used for Disney Giftcards afterall. :(

Well, I am going to return all the things I bought to spend $75 to get the 20% coupon and buy them back using the 20% coupon.

You will save 15.00. Time is a huge commodity in December. Do you really want to spend your time and thoughts on this?

Can you use the 5% pharmacy discount in store to purchase Disney gift cards if you are paying with Target gift cards? Thanks.
I have a lot of Target gift cards and a 5% pharmacy discount card. Does anyone know if you get the 5% pharmacy discount without using your Redcard?
Thanks.

Hi there!

The manager here in Watertown is trying to override- to the poster who got the discount, can you post your reciept so my manager here knows how to override?

Please DO NOT post this. Someone may very well lose his/her job over this.

I hope the manager gets fired for going against company policy. If this really happens, it opens up issues as others will make a scene.
That's seriously messed up thinking. Wishing for someone to lose their job over an attempt to make a customer satisfied? I'm not crazy about managers overriding coupons when they are used to purchase something that is excluded in the terms printed on the coupon. But I would never wish ill-will on someone because of it. That would be spiteful.

Well I can only tell you I got the both target 5% off red card and 5% off with pharmacy rewards an hour ago.. You should have no problem using just your pharmacy rewards. I was sooo disappointed the 20% coupon did not work. :sad1:

Anyone know if gift cards can be returned? My sister tried the coupon and bought $600 in Disney Gift Cards. As others have already found out, the discount didn't apply. She's wondering if she can return them so that I can buy them with my RedCard/Pharmacy rewards discount.

anybody else notice that the new weekly ad put out this morning is advertising some other "entertainment cards" as "gift cards" in large print?

Yes, you can use the pharmacy reward without a red card.

Bummer, it was a magical thought while it lasted  but it was a no go for gift card discount in Michigan:sad2:

Gift cards are non-refundable. Sorry.

It worked for me! Saved $500 this morning! The coupon would not work, but the manager manually discounted it. This makes my Sunday a bit more magical :)

I had a feeling it would end up being a store by store decision as to whether a particular cashier or manager would honor it for the Entertainment Cards or not. As a lawyer, I encourage everyone to be persistent and firm in asking the manager to honor it their store today if they want to use the coupon for entertainment cards.

It absolutely could be considered a deceptive practice for Target to honor promotional discounts (Red Card and Pharm Rewards) on those cards for all other promotions and then try to exclude them today without specifically noting it on the coupon or in any of the ads they ran. Assert your rights as a consumer, and try to force them to honor it!! (I'm not encouraging anyone to get nasty with the employees, just be persistent and firm.)

I am in shock over people getting so upset about this.....calling AG and so forth. Even asking managers to override the coupon.....I work in retail and someone could seriously lose their job over this. Could you sleep at night knowing that you caused someone to be fired to save you 20%??? Target has been great about letting us have the 5% savings or 10% with the pharmacy rewards coupon.....it's people like you that are all creating such a fuss about this one time the coupon doesn't work that may cause Target to rethink giving us any kind of discount in the future. Seriously let it go before you cause the to revoke the 5% that we do get to save!

You can get the 5% pharmacy discount (or any other % off) without using a Red card. You only get the 5% Red card discount on the amount charged on the Red card.

If you buy $100 worth of merchandize and use the 5% pharmacy, you owe $95. Use 3 $5/off cards that you've collected, you now owe $80. If you charge that on a Red card, your $80 is reduced to $76.

Spiteful for breaking company policy? We both don't know the details of why the manager overrode the system. If you want to make the guest happy, Target would not have restricted this for everyone. Sorry I play by the rules but it is not ''messed up thinking''.

Well I went ahead and bought 2k using the 5% discount. I think I am going to return all but what I need for dues and tickets for the kids in March.

Sorry, but this is just bad advice....I also wanted to take advantage of this offer, but it is restricted. This is exactly what I mean about causing a scene. You know people will not be polite as they assert their rights.
