Here on the west coast, I am surfing the net. No plans tonight. DS16 is having a sleepover here. Did send out a friend invitation on facebook. We'll see if she replies.
So is mine. DS 16 is gone, the 2 littlest ones went to ILs house for the night, so DH went to a movie and dinner WITH HIS BROTHER, leaving at home. DS14 and I grabbed soup from Panera for dinner, DH came home and is snoring on the couch next to me and I was working on my Disney scrapbook, but had to stop because I was getting cross eyed.
I'm sitting here..in bed..with my notebook, watching "Next Food Network Star." Exciting, huh? My husband has been asleep for an hour; he's not nearly as energetic or exciting as I am. I just went down and made a cup of tea for the finale of Network Star (well, it's a repeat but new to me); Twining's Green Tea which I discovered at WDW..guess I'm just going to sit here and troll the Disney forums and watch the Food Network.
HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL!!
My family has gone away - at least until tomorrow and possibly till Sunday - but that's fine with me.. I know where they are and I know they're safe.. Neither DD nor her DH drink - so that's not a concern - and it's a "family-type" gathering (lots of kids there) - so I'm sure they'll have a great time..
I was downstairs all day again - working on my crafts, listening to the radio, as happy as a clam.. Thought I'd check in on the DIS before I head off to bed, so here I am!
I'm not a "party person" - never have been - so I'm quite content this evening..
Wow! It's great to meet so many other non-party animals!
We have a New Year's tradition of going outside at midnight and meeting up with our neighbors across the street. We all bring out our glasses and bottles and sample each other's champagne. Then the next door neighbor's adult son would set off some illegal fireworks on the sidewalk. Well, the neighbor's across the street are out of town tonight and the lady next door sold her house. The new neighbors are nice but I doubt they're the illegal fireworks types! I think I'll put on my PJs and watch some DVDs. No reason to stayed dressed if we're not going outside tonight!
yep, we're a fun bunch over here too! DD12 is already in bed, DH is watching the news and i'm on the DIS. we shot $40 worth of fireworks in less than 10 minutes about 2 hours ago and had a take-n-bake pizza from wal-mart (which is actually pretty good!) for supper. woooooo party! lol Happy New Year, everyone!
Ds1 is at a friend's house and will spend the night.
Dh, ds2 and I went to a friend's house for a while. About 9 ds2 came to tell us he was leaving soon since there was really nothing going on. We told him we were leaving at 10. It was starting to get a little crowded at the party so we took off. I went to say good by to the hostess but I couldn't find her. I said good night to the host.
Now ds2 is upstairs either on his computer or asleep. Dh is asleep on the couch and I am on my laptop, looking at the Christmas tree for the last time and watching HGTV. I will probably go to bed soon.
I'm watching my husband and his friend shoot pool in our garage and my son, 11, is having a blast with his 2 friends that are sleeping over. I'm having the last of the bottle of champagne. The New year will be here soon and I am excited about the coming year! This past year has been hard but is behind us.
We have had a very quiet night too. DD and I met my extended family at Fazoili's for dinner and then sis and family came back to play WII for awhile. We had some cake and they went home by 8. Now DD and DH are watching Aladdin. DS did go to the Blues game and then to his girlfriends house. I am considering calling her mom and asking if he could crash on the couch at their house as I am not to thrilled with him being on the highway at 12 with all the drinkers.
I had to work late but finally figured out the problem my guys already ate so we watched the new Star Trek film and now I'm on the laptop, DF watching another movie, and DS (16) playing Xbox. Yep we're an exciting group but this is a tradition for us
