Are you waitlisted at HHI for this summer?

We wanted a studio for Wed. June 17 and Thurs. June 18, checking out on June 19. Was told by MS that there are no studios or 1 bdrms available for those dates. They stated there was very little to no availability for any Sun. thru Thurs. night this summer, but they do have Fri and Sat nights available.
We went ahead and waitlisted for a studio or a 1 bdrm on 6/17 and 6/18. Post here if you to are on the waitlist for HHI anytime between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Please also post if your waitlist comes through. Here's some pixie dust for us all (but extra for me!).

I started calling MS on the 1st possible day to book a dedicated 2BR HHI 7/19- 7/24. None of the dates were available so I waitlisted the entire span of days. Meanwhile I continued to call daily in an attempt to piecemeal it day-by-day. On about the 4th day, I was told all 5 nights were confirmed. We definitely had our dream come true for this summer!

Here's some pixie dust for your waitlist. We are staying June 7 - 12th and called right at the 7 month mark first thing in the morning. We are somewhat lucky in Texas that our kids get out of school a little earlier than other parts of the nation so we are able to book in a little less demanded time and are also able to save some points by being in Dream Season instead of Premier Season.

I had been waitlisted for mon tue and weds for our dates (june 14-20th) but one came through in less than a week and the other just came through last week.

This was for Two 2 bedrooms.

Quite often they have weekend rooms available. Esp Saturday nights in the summer. Our two bedroom is 33 points a night for Sun-Thurs. 66 points for Friday and a whopping 99 points for saturday night stays

We called on 1st day we could (11 months out) for June 7-10, 2009. We learned our lesson the first time we tried for summer at HHI. We added on there in 2002 just to get the 11 months priority for summer. We have lucked out and gotten 2 bedroom early august at 7 months, but have not had success with July waitlist. Sunday-Thursdays are hard to get and there are fewer 1-bedrooms and studios than 2 bedrooms. Good luck...the economy may make some change their plans and open up a spot for you.

Congrats to all of you on your waitlists coming through already! That gives me a little hope. I am hoping that as summer draws near more will confirm their plans. My guess is some folks make a ressie if they even think they might want to go and the closer it gets maybe some things will open up.
