Are you sure this is our table?? *w/PICS* !COMPLETED!

Great review... I have Tutto Italia on our list. I picked lunch since it is the same food as dinner but a tiny bit cheaper but not by much.

I agree, Tutto's prices are outrageous.:scared1:

I could NOT believe it! I think I saw them on AllEars then just totally forgot. I mean, I would be a great value for anyone on the DDP. But not for OOP!

I'm in!! YUMMY!

Thanks for joining!

Thanks! That's a good idea. Are you on the DDP? This place is only 1 credit which is totally worth it.

Beautiful pics! Tutto looks great.

Thanks!

Great review of Tutto...we have been there twice and while it is very $$$ we just love the food! Cannot wait to go back in Oct :cool1:

Nice review of Tutto - although, without the dining plan, I can't see wild horses being able to drag me there to pay $25 for a bowl of pasta :scared1:

Yum! I love food reviews! And Tutto looks good! We don't do many table service places because Ann hates paying a lot for food so I like being able to see what the table service places offer!

Thanks for the review of Tutto Italia! We LOVE Tutto, but had to cancel it in February!
Reading your review I now cannot wait to go and dine at Tutto again - come on August!!!;)

So on Friday we woke up early and headed downstairs to Boma for breakfast. We originally had an ADR for The Wave at the Contemporary, but we had to take a ½ hour cab ride and coming from the CR would’ve just made it even longer! So we walked downstairs and waited about five minutes before being seated.

I had been here before and thought it was just okay. I don't usually eat a big breakfast so I find it unnecessary to pay almost $20 to eat all of the stuff they have on the buffet. Anyways, this time I kept a more open mind and planned on not eating lunch so I could stuff my face! Here's my first plate:

In the middle is a bowl of yummy quinoa!! I put brown sugar on mine and I just LOVE this stuff! The bowl they have at Boma doesn't have anything in it like raisins or sugar, so you get to add what you like. I described it to Belle as having the same idea as oatmeal, but more of a rice-y texture. Then you can see the scrambled eggs (delish), grilled tomatoes (good, but I don't want tomatoes at breakfast unless they're in an omelet), waffles (yummy), and french toast (really good - didn't even need syrup!).

I didn't take a photo of Belle's plates because they pretty much had the same stuff as mine. I know you meat eaters were probably hoping to see more of the options, but she really didn't have much to eat. However, here's a photo of my second plate:

On the plate you'll see breakfast potatoes (very tasty), strawberries (pretty fresh), a donut hole (yum!), a croissant (I love croissants!!!), and a sesame bagel with cream cheese (I love my carbs!).

And last, but CERTAINLY not least, is REAL COFFEE!!!

We really liked Boma, so much so that we went back later on in the trip. I had the same things, so no new photos. However when we got up to go to the buffet the second time they cleared our table!!! I was following Belle (who can sometimes forget her common sense) to an empty table. She sits down and claims it's where we were sitting before we got up, and thinking she had completely lost it I just kind of half sarcastically/half annoyed asked "ARE YOU SURE THIS IS OUR TABLE?!" Then our waiter came over and apologized as did the man who cleared our table. They both felt bad and brought us new juice and coffee immediately, so we had WAY too much to drink.

~Overall, we really enjoyed Boma. I would go back again for breakfast - especially if I was staying at AKL. There is a pretty good selection and I loved the quinoa!

It WAS very tasty! Your reviews made me want to go!!!!

Yeah, that's probably the only downside to the place.

It was really good. Sorry to hear you can't try many TS spots. That's one of the best parts about going to Disney for me!

Tutto looks really good! Love the reviews so far!

Thank you!

My mom and dad will be eatting at tutto in june. I liked your review i hope theylike tutto.

I think they will love it!

August will be here before you know it!!

Hmm...quinoa, huh? I still haven't tried that as I am not a huge fan of cerals of any kind. I just now started eating oatmeal (of which I used to loathe). I can't wait to go to Boma breakfast in September. That is a must-do.

Jumping on board! We loved Boma breakfast and will be going back again on our Sept trip. We had a great strategy as we made a 10:30am ADR at boma and made sure we hit AK at rope drop. We rode safari and everest and also got fast passes for a later ride on the safari before our breakfast ADR; It worked out great!

You HAVE TO try it!! It's cooked in water so when I scoop it out I try to drain some of the water before I put it in my bowl, you know what I mean? I just put brown sugar on it and oh my gosh! YUM! Where are you going to eat in September?

That's a really, really, good idea!! Thanks for coming over to my dining review!

So on Friday we didn’t do lunch at WDW because we took a cab to a spring training game to watch the team I interned for/Aurora’s husband plays for now. After the game we headed back to our hotel to change and relax before dinner at the Polynesian. Now, as you can tell by my name, I LOVE the Poly! And Ohana is my absolute favorite restaurant in all of WDW to date. I know, I’m a vegetarian and Ohana really caters to the meat eaters. However, there’s plenty for me to eat there even without ordering the vegetarian meal.

So since I love Ohana so much, I had to make sure we got an ADR there. The only thing was that 9:15PM on Friday was the ONLY opening all week while we were there!!! Whatever, I booked it then thought I’d just call back and find a cancellation for an earlier time. Well, that never happened so I thought maybe we could check in early because I wanted to meet up with internship friends after dinner. So I called and they told me I could check in as soon as the restaurant opened, which it was already, so we took a bus to Magic Kingdom at around 6:00PM. The boat was waiting for us when we got there so we rode over to the Poly right away.

So we arrived at Ohana and the same CM that answered the phone when I called about checking in early now tells me that I can’t check in until 2 hours before my reservation. That means we couldn’t check in until 7:15PM which wasn’t that long of a wait. We decided to check out the Tambu Lounge while we waited to check in. We both had the Island Sunset as recommended to me by MickeyNicki!

This was AMAZING! Loved it! I drank this baby SO fast and could’ve had another one, but I decided to wait until we at least checked in. So it’s 7:15PM and I go over to the podium where the SAME CM tells me he NEVER SAID THAT I could check in 2 hours before my ADR, and I actually have to wait until an hour and a half before my ressie. So this means I have another half hour to wait. I was angry but thought it was a good excuse to try another drink. Here’s the Sunken Treasure:

IMG_0233.jpg

This was also delicious and I couldn’t taste any alcohol, even though I saw him pour it in! See, I hate when I can taste a lot of alcohol but I hate paying for a big drink when they skimp out on it altogether. So after I finished my Sunken Treasure I headed back to the podium where the CM tells me I can finally check in. So I give him my name and he asks where I’m from, etc. I told him we came from Chicago where we go to school and he got really excited because that's where he's from. Funny how right after I checked in and told him that – our table was ready immediately! It was nuts. We barely had time to pay our bill at the bar.

So we get to the table and I didn’t take any photos because a)I forgot and b) you’ve all seen what Ohana has to offer a million times already. I did take a photo of my special vegetarian entrée.

IMG_0239.jpg

It was SO good! It was rice with stir fried veggies and tofu. Soooo delish.

Then I ordered the Magical Star, which looked WAY cooler in the dark with the flashing glow cube than it does in this photo:

IMG_0237.jpg

It was delicious! Our waitress recommended it to me and I am glad I took her suggestion.

Finally the bread pudding came. The bread pudding I dream about every time I think about ordering dessert – no matter where I am. The bread pudding I’ve thought about since I booked my trip and my ADR. The bread pudding I’ve saved myself all day for had finally arrived. Except I took one bite and could barely swallow it. My stomach was SO full from all of the drinks and my dinner. I was SO mad. I tried to force myself to eat it but that didn’t work LOL. So now, I sit here thinking about the next time I will be able to go to Ohana and eat that yummy treat one more time. And next time, I won’t stuff my face before it arrives at the table!!

~Overall, we loved Ohana. Belle and I had both been here before and it is always a good time. The only negative was that we were seated right where they do the coconut race and the hula dance, and about 10 kids tried to grab my colorful glowing drink! The atmosphere of the Poly is so great, Ohana is always lively and exciting, the food is awesome, and the service has always been pefect. I’ll definitely return to Ohana!

Great review again! :goodvibes

I am not into vegetarian food, but that entree looks good - it looks like the veggies were actually still crisp - mmmmhhhhhhh!!! (Sorry, but I don't care much for the tofu;))

Had to LOL when you mentioned being too full for the breadpudding! :lmao: Happens to us every time, but all the other stuff is so yummy too!!! :thumbsup2

Oh you are killing me, my fav breakfast in all of WDW followed by my three fav drinks ever! I would give anything to drink those right now!

Ok, I don't care what Ann says, based on the drinks alone, we are going to have to go to Ohana!

I completely understand about the bread pudding. I'm usually a chocolate girl, but fell in love with this dessert. :love:They should serve it first!:thumbsup2
