DH and I will be there Dec. 13th -16th for our anniversary without the DDs. Fortunately the girls are young enough that it won't be too hard to keep the secret We'll be staying at HOJOs so I can afford to spend the anniversary at Napa Rose...at least that's the plan. Not sure if I'm more excited going to the parks or eating dinner...hehehe.

Hi, my first post here. My family will be heading to Disneyland from Nov 23rd till Decenber 11. Staying at HOJO's. My wife and I visited in 2007 but this will be the kids first trip (4 of them) We are all so excited and cant wait!

Myself, hubby and three girls (their first trip and our first one since our honeymoon in 1996!) will be there from Nov. 27th to Dec. 5th we are staying in a kids suite at Hojo with the awesome entertainment rate for half the stay and 15% discount for the rest of the time. We are so excited

We are a group of 4.

I already have the Dollar Store poncho's for the "da-- bear ride".....as we call it. We'll be the 4 ... Pancho Lopez's !!

I have Christmas Stocking kits for all 4 of us.

I have the strings of Christmas Lights for the balconies

I have already made red and white scarves for all 4 of us. (they match the red and white scarves the castmembers wear at Holiday events at WDW)

and.....I've started my lists.


I always send a box ahead of our arrival --- especialy at Christmas! I promised my DH this year's box will be smaller (at WDW we are closer to friends so there is always a second box with Christmas Gifts).

I can't promise....but I'll try to ship less.....but I MUST hang the foam snowflakes (from the Dollar Store) on our balcony - it's a tradition wth the 4 of us! What about my tinker bell nightlights? What about my little Christmas tree?

What an easy Christmas tree solution?



Go to the craft store and get a foam cone and a small package of stiff wire stems. Next, go to the Dollar Store and pickp BUNCHES of silk flowers -- don't forget lots of greens like ivy! Take the stiff wire stems and stick 2 or 3 down into the cone from the top to strengthen the foam. Next, cut down the wire stems of your flowers to about 2 inches. Insert the floral stems into the foam cone randomly - make sure you fill in all the holes.


One year at the Beach Club - when I took my friend Joan---for those of you who remember that story---I made a Christmas tree with green holly, pink and white flowers. I then wound the strands of tree trim that looks like pearls and a strand of 50 tree lights. It was quite simply.....georgous!

These trees are inexpensive, lightweight and I actually just leave them for the Mousekeeper (if they want it) or front desk when we leave.



Ok.....we depart Thanksgiving weekend....can I start packing now?

Just wanted to let everyone know that I will be taking my grandchildren to the beach and to see my 90 year old grandmother for a week..so if it's not updated right away.. remember i'm out of town. But I will get it updated when I get back home.

So excited We just booked our trip to Disneyland December 15-17 staying at Hojos. We're currently living in Sydney Australia for my husband's job, but we booked a trip to the States for Christmas. It will be so nice to spend the Holidays with our family, and celebrating our son's 6th birthday in Disneyland will be the icing on the cake! We were at DL for his 4th birthday, and we had so much fun and wonderful memories that we can't wait to do it again.

Ok, our outbound flights are booked. Air Tran has the "mother of all perfect flights"....non-stop from Baltimore. Now we worry that they don't change it into a connection through Atlanta.

Happily, it looks like the flight has good reservations so far.

I was checking out the stocking kits last weekend....have to get some sparkle paint and JEWELS to embellish and I'll be ready.

Oh boy...I can't wait! DH has not seen DL all dressed up for the holidays.

How is everyone's summer going? I'm ready for it to be fall. It's super hot here in texas!

Mouseaholic! Your posts always give me energy! Now i want to make stockings for our trip Okay... a little tree and stockings for my parents room. This is my father's first trip to disneyland EVER.. i can't wait to take him on soarin'.. i'm going to sit right by him so i can watch his face. I think that is really a magical ride.

Ohh anater.. wowowowow..you are coming from so far away.. safe travel to You and Yours! I hope this is an extra special trip for your birthday boy.

we normally stay at the holiday inn on south walnut.. but since this is my father's first and most likely only trip to disneyland.. we are staying at the grand..it will be easier on him as his heart is not good.

last year when we went to disneyland at christmastime.. it really put everyone in such a great holiday spirit. we loved all the decorations.

i hope they have the little cup of hot chocolate desserts at the plaza inn this year.. i missed out on getting one and you got to keep the cup..it was adorable.
