Yes! So excited. I have been baking and watching Christmas shows/movies all day. All my presents are wrapped and I love staring at my tree!

I certainly am now!! Everything is done and all we have to do is wait for the big day to get here..:thumbsup2

Christmas Eve DD's IL's will come over and we'll eat, play games, etc..:santa:

Christmas morning DGD will wake me up first - then call her other grandparents to tell them to come on over - then she'll wake up my DD and her DH - and when everyone is here, the unwrapping will begin..:lovestruc

DGD will cook breakfast for everyone after that and then we'll just spend the day enjoying our gifts and each other..:santa:

Then - the day AFTER Christmas!!! Which is every bit as exciting..:thumbsup2 I can start all of my winter projects and before I know it, it will be time to return to the lake again! :yay::yay:

Nope. Not at all. We buried my grandmother yesterday. We are headed to my inlaws on Tuesday where I don't want to go. My SIL, who I love dearly will be there, however she had her own trauma a few weeks ago so all the focus has been on her needs. While understandable, it means my inlaws have done little to get ready. Since I had to leave in a hurry, none of my kids gifts are ready and the majority are at home anyway.

I'm just tired and would just like to go home.

No, I'm in the hospital on bedrest and probably will be on Christmas. DH & my little one will come to visit but it won't be the same :( Our families are on the other side of the state.

We are really looking forward to it.
We love all the trappings, the tree, the decorations, the songs, the films, the food. We enjoy being together with family and friends at different times of the holiday. We like giving gifts, we like receiving gifts, we like all the commercialism.
We ignore and avoid the religious aspect, none of us are interested in that facet at all. Each to their own.

I LOVE CHRISTMAS!! I love everything about it-even the commercialism-I love walking into stores seeing them all decorated, I love all the shows on TV and their feel good messages. We had DH's family here yesterday for our Christmas party for that side of the family and we just plain old have fun. We head out to my Dad and step-mom's on Wednesday and we are all looking forward to that (well at least until my sister gets there with her family on Saturday :lmao:).

I am really looking forward to Christmas Eve Mass at the church near their house. We went 2 years ago and they have a REALLY good priest and unbelievable music. I hope the same guy is still there.

Somewhat. Not completely. We'll be at the inlaws ALL day on Christmas eve. Gets a bit boring. I dont look forward to having to find a place for all the stuff that we dont need. I dont like having to clean and put away all the decorations. Christmas always reminds me of my first pregnancy that I lost. I had my D&C on the 26th and even though it was in 2003 I still get a little down this time of year. Plus the whole build up and all the work to get ready for Christmas is so stressful that by the time the day is here it's just a let down.

I look forward to seeing my son open his gifts. To spending the day on Christmas Day hopefully with just my family of 3. To not working for 4 days.

No, not really. It's been a sad season. I miss the Christmases of my childhood, with extended family and so much joy. Years ago I could never understand how someone could be sad during the Holidays. Now I'm one of those people.

I'm missing loved ones who are not longer on this Earth, and others who are emotionally gone. Overall, it's not a happy time anymore.

Reeeeeeeally looking forward to it! My DD is a little over 2 years old and this is the first year she has any idea what's going on. So excited for her to see her stocking/gifts! And excited about giving DH his gift too. :santa:

Our family lives here locally so we don't have to travel - totally reduces the stress for me. I have so much fun getting together with our relatives and enjoying family time...
