Yep. My friend babysits a baby (1 yr old or younger but not a newborn) and the parent has her log, online, when he poops, eats, naps etc. I judge that parent for being a bit weird. I mean come on!!!! Do you not trust your friend, the babysitter here to handle your child? If not, then maybe you should stay home and raise your own kid.

I must be getting old. I had no idea, lol. I've been a nurse for decades, so documenting poop isn't new to me, but it's funny that we need apps to document that in our well babies.

Regarding the way people dress, I don't care one way or the other, but I think we do tend to make judgments based on someone's appearance. I think it's just an almost subconscious thing we tend to do. The same thing goes for tattoos. I don't mind a tattoo here & there (while some people do), but I'm not a personal fan of the full arm/leg tattoos - however, while it's not for me, I acknowledge that not everyone is like me. But, subconsciously, I think one does tend to make snap judgments - "Look at those tattoos. I bet he doesn't have an office job!" or "Look at those tattoos! I wonder what she does when she has to go somewhere formal?" And it's not that it's bad necessarily... it's just the kind of automatic thoughts that run through one's mind.

I've got 8 tattoos, 4 of them visible while I'm at work. No one seems to mind! Though I did have these two cute old ladies in WDW tell me that I'm going to have a hard time finding a job lol. I can't get mad at things like that, it just never bothers me. I worked hard for my degree, my nursing license, and my chemotherapy certification. I really don't care if I get judged, honestly.

The idea that you can't get a job with visible tattoos is so outdated. I see people with visible tats in my daily life on the regular. My kids art teacher has sleeves and an earring. (when they were in kindergarten they thought he was a pirate, lol) He's the most beloved teacher in the school. My dental hygienist has stars going from her collarbone up her neck. My server AND the hostess at an upscale restaurant we went to for DD's graduation both had tats. It's so common it barely registers anymore except in the case where they're really cool and I can't stop myself from asking about them.

Yeah, I judge. I'm trying very hard not to as much but I do.

I tend to be judgmental towards people who like TV shows and music that I don't like. To me, a lot of music that you hear on the radio these days isn't actually music; rather, it's a product, manufactured in Nashville, and designed to be consumed. It lacks originality, heart, and soul.

Similarly, I simply cannot wrap my head around why people give a darn about what some weird family in Arkansas or some celebrity dilletante in L.A. are up to. And the absolute last thing I want to do is watch them on TV.

There is a couple of movies or bands that if someone says they like I would think "well we aren't going to be friends" and the same thing of they don't like a couple.

I'm also known to jokingly inform the kids not to trust people who don't like Oreos.

Yes, I can be judgmental. I am working on it, but when I see someone doing something incredibly stupid, I can't help but think, "Ugh - that person can vote."

I think there's a huge difference between having an opinion about something someone does/says/wears, etc., and judging them for it. People tend to forget this and call it all "being judgy." (and when did that become a word?)

I guess as I get older it seems I am. I think it is mostly to new parents to be honest. Their new fangled ideas about co-sleeping, being there for every single thing at school and not letting the child breathe, for the word kiddos and preggers to just name a few lol!

I always thought these folks were vying for Parent of the Year awards!

I agree. They need a new word for "judgmental." Everyone is judgmental. It's called having opinions. The problem comes when you add prejudicial action to the equation.
