Are YOU dressing up for MNSSHP?

Sorry to be a little OT, but please send me a pic of your Prince Charming when you are done! You should do boy stuff.. it is SOOOOO hard for me to find anything decent! Especially Disney Prince Costume wise.. and boutique items. I know he is a boy, but we like to look special at WDW to! Especially with mommy son stuff, it is just so hard to find!

Amen sister!!

I loooove all of the pictures! I'm on a mission to making princess dresses for DNiece, and these are awesome inspiration!! I saw the cutest Snow Prince costume that I could make for DS, and it looked super easy!! More pics, more pics!!

I bring LOTS of costumes and accessories for my daughter. I pack at least an extra suitcase (or 2!) for all the stuff. I get hosed in extra baggage fees, but the photos are priceless!

Wow! Love those costumes! I want an adult Mary Poppins! Do you do things for adults? Just curious! ;)

My DD has informed me that she wants to dress up everyday that we are in Disney so I was going to acuatlly pay extra baggage fees to get all of her dresses there. I am so excited that she is wanting to do this kind of thing..I am living through my daughter.. I never got to do these things when I was a child! ;)

Soak it while you can! You will love looking back at all the pictures. I scrapbook too, so I get to relive the trip through my scrapbooking when we get back. It's SO worth it.....

I do adult costumes too. I need to add my ebay id. It's the same as my id here on the boards.......

I just sent you a message via Ebay...I LOVE your store! I wish that I could sew.. I can't even sew on a button! :rotfl:

This is my first time to MNSSHP, and second time to WDW. Since this will be the honeymoon part of my weddingmoon (wedding in Jamaica days prior) I will have my wedding gown with me.

So my question is, what are the restrictions about costumes? I am sure Disney has some strict rules about that and I dont want to not enter because of my dress code.

I am not sure, but you could be going as a "bride" :) You know, you actually have hit on something that is a great idea, bc that would be the only way to get into WDW with your wedding dress on without paying the $1200 portrait package (which BTW you can only get if you get married in WDW from what I understand...). Let me know what you find out...

We saw Snow White at the party it gets packed most popular meet n greet We were 2nd in line but had to get there a long time before.:cool1::cool1::cool1:

I love the Trick/Treat T-shirt idea but I've also just ordered Disney jammies as a back up - comfy is critical!

Yep, you'll find me there. Same ID. I don't do a lot of boys stuff though. I have an order for my first Prince Charming this fall, so I'll be branching out soon....

My sons are 14 and 16, so I won't be doing anything for them..... Although I have done some really cool Star Wars stuff through the years for them.... Thankfully my daughter is still young enough to enjoy it all as much as I do......

Hion your Cinderrella dress is it satin then have a fabric with snowflakes over it thanks T

Just wanted to give an update.

Today I called Disney Events and asked what restricitions they had on costumes. The CM told me nothing really gory, nothing easily trippable (they dont want you or someone else to fall because of your costume), easy to see out of (meaning if you wear a mask it has to have big enough eye holes to actually see through) and last but not least if you dress up like a disney character, you can't pose for pictures or sign autographs.

Hope this helps everyone. Which means bride and groom are in (as long as the dress doesn't have a train) :bride:

AWESOME!!!!! I am so happy that is going to work for you, you have to take pics by Cinderellas carriage!! I will have to remember that!!

I thought of a couple more costume ideas for little kids:

~Super Sluthes!! Their hat and a shirt would be so easy to make. You could even carry around a little stuffed dog to be Buster.

~Handy Manny! Even little girls could dress as "Handy Mandy" with a little tool belt and everything.

I just had to share those...they hit me this morning. Can you tell what the only tv channel is that stays on in our house?? :rotfl:

I'd love to convince DH to go as an Imagination Mover so I could be Nina! But I'm quite sure that would be a no go.

haha..There is no way I could get my DH to be an Imagination Mover...I have already struck out on that one!! :lmao:

Looks like our Tvs are stuck on the same channel!

:happytv: Awesome! My DH cracks up at me because at night if DD won't sleep and I run out of regular lullabyes I start singing Playhouse Disney songs. They get stuck in our heads 24/7! I've been tempted to tell him "Look, you can either be a Mover...or Knitknots. Take your pick." He's being very stubborn and taking forever about picking the costume. What's your DH going as?

We're going September 22nd. Its funny you said Mad Hatter because I'm pretty sure that's what I'm going as. DH wants to go as something manly like a pirate or something. I'm going to dress DD up as Alice before she goes back to the resort with my parents so at least we'll get some cute pictures together by the tea cups!

I've been quite the nag lately trying to get DH to make up his mind. But if he had his way, he'd go as a Storm Trooper even though it'd be way too hot for it.

Men are such a pain sometimes! I wanted to do something as a couple and then dress our 2 kids up as sometihng...but he didn't go for that.. Now he is whining because he wants to be the King of Hearts sicne I am going to be the Queen and my 2 yr old son isn't liking that since that is what he is going to be! And then our DD says.."Daddy you are too big to be the King of Hearts..." Too funny..

We are going Oct 6..

I am sure you will have some adorable pics with your daughter..Even if your DH goes as KnitKnots..haha...:rotfl:

My husband is being a pain, too! LOL

There are 7 of us going and we are all dressing up as characters from Hercules but now DH is whining about being Zeus! I told him he doesn't have to wear a fake beard, that people will get who he is without it (Hello? Glow-in-the-dark lighting bolts and a fuschia toga trimmed in gold? Who else would he be!?:confused3 )

See, now you guys have me feeling lucky. DBF has no shame! He doesnt care if I ask him to be The Fairy Godmother!

BTW- same channel here.. DS also kicks me off of the computer to watch PH Disney online!
