Are YOU dressing up for MNSSHP?

I was looking at costumes today, and I think a lot of places sell costumes that are a little too inappropriate for Disney World. I don't feel comfy walking around MK looking like Sexy Dorothy or nurse. I'm thinking we will end up doing pirates or the jedi.

Can't wait, got our tickets yesterday. It's just me and my husband this year. Oct. 29-Raggedy Ann & Andy and Oct. 31 Victorian ghost's.

I LOVE your costumes! Fantastic! I bet people think you guys are CM's!![/QUOTESome peple thought we we're cast members, It was funny, that cast member who is the ghost outside the Haunted Mansion yelled, " Hey it's my relative's Bertha and Billy Bob". That ladies a riot. The only problem I had that night was I wore victorian boot's all night, made my feet hurt . This year I'm wearing flat's. Hope we see alot of you guy's there the two night's we're going. I love Halloween and the costume's are alway's great to see. :)

The picture worked! I just love the ghost costumes, you guys both did great. So, since you had a large dress, did you pack it in a suitcase, or take it on the plane with you? My Cinderella dress is HUGE like a wedding dress, lol.. and I am worried it wont fit in my suitcase!

We drive, so I just leave my victorian dress in a garment bag, same for my husband's costume. We couldn't fly with the costumes, I have two wig boxes too and a hat box to transport. We fit our Raggedy Ann & Andy costumes into the same containers with the victorian stuff. The only thing I need when we get there is an iron. Maybe you could use a space bag to pack your Cinderella dress, then just press it when your there? Another option is to box it and mail the dress to your resort. I know people do that with alot of things, why not your dress?

I didn't even think of a space bag, that's a good idea! I thought about shipping it, but the dress was $200, and I am worried it would get lost (not that putting it in luggage is much better, right? lol). My main worry is the petticoat, bc it has a hoop. I'm sure I will figure out something! I just thought since people take wedding dresses on planes, I could put my Cindy dress in a garment bag, lol, they would not know it wasn't a wedding dress! ha! I think a hanging space bag will be my best option, thanks for the tip!

A few ideas came to me earlier that would be great for boys, or "grown" boys!

First...Chicken Little! It would be so easy and cool for those going during the hotter parties. All you'd need is brown shorts, green shirt, green glasses and do the hair up in a faux hawk.

Second...Cars! For Lightning McQueen it would be so easy. Just do a red track suit, then get patches or make iron on decals. Like the name Lightning McQueen could go on the back, lightning bolts on the side and eyes/smile on the chest. You could easily do outfits for Doc, Mater, and all the others.

Okay, I think that's about it right now. Oh, what about Whoville characters? I'd love to do Christmas themed Who's like from the Jim Carrey live action version of the Grinch movie. Their outfits and make up were amazing!

Really, I think I'm done now. I'll probably be back tomorrow after I've had a chance to brainstorm more!

I bring LOTS of costumes and accessories for my daughter. I pack at least an extra suitcase (or 2!) for all the stuff. I get hosed in extra baggage fees, but the photos are priceless!

Yep, you'll find me there. Same ID. I don't do a lot of boys stuff though. I have an order for my first Prince Charming this fall, so I'll be branching out soon....

My sons are 14 and 16, so I won't be doing anything for them..... Although I have done some really cool Star Wars stuff through the years for them.... Thankfully my daughter is still young enough to enjoy it all as much as I do......

Sorry to be a little OT, but please send me a pic of your Prince Charming when you are done! You should do boy stuff.. it is SOOOOO hard for me to find anything decent! Especially Disney Prince Costume wise.. and boutique items. I know he is a boy, but we like to look special at WDW to! Especially with mommy son stuff, it is just so hard to find!

I have to ask. What did you use to make the gold haircomb for Anastasia? It's the one thing that's stumping me at the moment for my costume.

Heavy interfacing and gold tissue lame. Good luck!

I'm the one with the hat in all grey in the photo. My dress wasn't overly large so I just crammed it in the suitcase, figured some extra wrinkles might give it a more 'ghostly' appearance. hahaha
