Are you a planner (sp)

I don't know if it's part of my anxiety disorder but I have to know what to expect work is the one and only exception to that rule nature of the best as I call it

Ha, really? I've seen a few posts of yours about French Laundry, Bluezoo, etc. Fancy Pants.

It's a wdw board if I can broadcast about bluezoo, I will. I like fancy pants, but I'm from Nashville, I love BBQ and hot chicken and shine. It's a whole cult thing. I rail against how crappy regular fried chicken is almost as often as I pontificate about bluezoo.

Big date? A date. Starts at 8. I'm here early having some wine. I was doctors orders stuck at home for a week due to grass allergy and fragile lungs. I'm just happy to be out!

just teasing, but at 8, I want to be in bed having cookies :p

Rendezvous is the obvious. It's got character. In terms of the real deal, so many choices.

Damn now you got me thinking about hot chicken. As I'm off to KC and Austin, maybe I'll do the BBQ there and do hot chicken in Memphis.

I know I'm getting up and going to work tomorrow, that's it as far as planning. I do have reservations for my honey and me to go away the last weekend this month since it's our anniversary. I've even booked dinner reservations for the actual night of our anniversary. I have reservations the first weekend in Aug. at the Dolphin with my son but that's all I've planned for that trip.

Happy anniversary!

Corkys - yuck! Sorry, Texas girl. BBB is all the wrong animal in Memphis.

And I'm a whimp, Bartlett / Cordova and the zoo about the extent of my bravery. Definitely, too easy to get in trouble in that city. Coming from a smaller town with no good food options, we are just happy to get PeiWei, and I think we are fairly safe from bullets there.

Back to the topic, I'm a planner, but only really when it comes to travel. Day to day, there's really no plan. However, we tend to plan a lot of day trips to nearby cities (recently, lots of trips to Ikea), and we definitely plan big trips in advance.

Back when I actually cooked, I planned out meals in advance. My work hours are too crazy for that now. I never know when I'm getting off.

I am really organized and do keep a lot of lists, not sure if that falls into "planning" or not.

I've given up planning at work. It's a lost cause. I'm a manager of multiple departments, and I pretty much just run around putting out fires all day and dealing with the constant flow of people in and out of my office. I usually go into the office with this great plan of how the day is going to go and by 9:30, it has all completely changed. It's one of the things that is sort of frustrating. I never know what will happen from day to day. We are a fast paced business with new data dropping down to us from corporate on a daily basis, so I never know what to expect. But overall, I love that I am constantly doing something new and different. I would get bored out of my mind if I had to do the same thing every day.

I do plan all the office parties and everyone always asks me to help plan their vacations, so that's always fun.
