Are you a planner (sp)

For what? Financial purposes? Yes. The rest of my life is very spur of the moment. I'm going out tonight and had no plans to this morning. I do like details to know what to expect when considering social situations.

I easily get anxious, so I like to know what to expect. However, I usually manage to muddle through any situation thrown at me. So I don't HAVE to plan, it just makes things easier for me.

Yes and no. To quote the song I plan every step I take and every move I make. Being in a wheelchair changes how you look at things. Can I make it through where I am going. Is there a break in a curb, is there room to get my chair through that kind of thing.

Life is another things. Nothing I have planned has ever gone the way I planned it. I had my retired life planned, car accident changed all of that. I will plan a vacation, DHs job will change those. We will make plans and someone becomes ill. Every holiday for a few years DS was in the hospital. Illnesses changed both my parents and in-laws retirement plans.

We have found that spur of the moment works out better for us anymore. Even when my DH retired he just walked into his bosses office on a Tuesday afternoon and said he had enough and was taking his retirement. He called human resources from the parking lot and everything was take care of. Like I said, we stopped planning and live spur of the moment.

Considering that I have made 3 extremely large moves since graduating college 10 years ago, and owned 3 homes in that time, without ever planning a single one them, or seeing a single move coming, I have given up on long distance life planning. I do my best to ensure that my husband and I are saving for our futures, and have a good financial cushion (this allows us to do things like sell and purchase houses with very little notice), but I also realize that planning only gets you so far, and that flexibility, and the ability to go with the flow, can be essential.

I am a planner. At work, I like to plan out my day and my agenda for the week. We plan our vacations for the most part. I do some things spur of the moment like what we're doing on a weekend. I should meal plan but I hate it because my family is picky.

Sorry in life in general like do you know what you are doing tomorrow

My neighbor found it weird that I was making plans for when I go back to work even though it's not till 8/10 and weird that my family is planning for Disney even though that's not till February

For trips, I'm an OCD planner. I wasn't always like that but whenever I played things by ear, it seems I would miss an opportunity here and there. So to avoid disappointment, I plan everything to the T!

I have literally just decided to go on a trip and told my companion I'd pack us and meet at the airport. We'd figure out where in transit. I'm super good with spur of the moment.

Big date? A date. Starts at 8. I'm here early having some wine. I was doctors orders stuck at home for a week due to grass allergy and fragile lungs. I'm just happy to be out!
