Are we dorky?

i would be totally jealous and mad at myself for not thinking to buy cool holiday hats/antlers for my family (says she who's family wore matching disney tee shirts, matching hibiscus print outfits, and all the same color tee shirts, etc every day of her wdw vacation!)

ENJOY! :)

If ever there was a place for festive headwear....:earsboy: ::yes:: :hyper: :sunny:

if I didn't have an equally cool hat, I would be jealous... I'm sure that I would at least come up and compliment you on it!!!
Have fun with it... enjoy yourself and really, who cares what anyone else thinks... you're paying for the trip and you need to enjoy it!!!

:wave2: princess:

The hats will be packed & worn atop our smiling faces!

Some of you are my kindred spirits, I think :)...we sometimes let out that inner child that resides in all of us. Most of our adulthood, it has to be suppressed in order to go about dealing with our lives in a complicated world. Moments sometimes come when we can let that inner child emerge, but they come rarely....time at Disney is one of those moments and that child inside of me will be set free to laugh and be silly, to look in wonder at that magical place, to feel abundant joy at just being alive in that moment.

I think Walt would understand and heartily approve. :)

And please, if anybody sees us, do stop and say 'hi'...that would be icing on the cake!

I'll be looking for you as well!! Go for it and have a great time! :sunny:

As I sit here at my desk at work wearing my Minnie Mouse ears, I say do it!! :teeth:

It's fun being a kid!!

DD and I always wear Santa hats at Christmas time--since she was a little girl. And that's just around town, not at WDW--the epicenter of crazy headgear. So, you'll probably see us wearing Santa hats at WDW when we go at Christmas--I'm thinking we need the ones with Mickey ears this time around!

Have a GREAT time!

Go for it -

Anyone who snickers is secretly hiding a repressed need to have fun!

Of course this is coming from someone whose party of 4 adults had a contest last year at the FWF to see who could find and wear the craziest headwear. My BIL won - a 6'3" guy in fuzzy pink minnie ears. He looked particularly good as he skipped into the mens room at UK. As I mentioned - it was the Food and WINE Festival!

As long as you switch to Mickey Ears after New Years, I say "Go for it!":jester:

Go for it!!!

Of course, am I one to speak?...my sister wants me (and her) to bring our bubba teeth to walk around the parks. Would be kind of fun to wear those teeth at check-in. Do you think they'd give us a room upgrade? LOL

Have fun! Maybe I'll take your lead and see what holiday things I can find before my next trip.

::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes::

I would do it. in fact I probably will. A Santa hat is a permanant fixture on my head that week.

However, if one of you is a female, and wearing antlers, and an adorable, albeit precocious, little girl around 4 years old, walks up to you and says "Girls do not have Antlers, only boys"......Ummmm. She is not my daughter.

Last year we were able to break her from saying "Girls do not have antlers they have _____". Which is way more embarassing for all involved.

Have a great time.

That is too funny, Cheap N Dale. I'm going to be wearing my reindeer antlers when we go, even though my 15 yo son is just mortified.

My antlers are a headband. The headband is pretty white fur with sparkles. I also bought a tiny set of mini lights that run on a tiny battery. I took apart my antlers (they are tan cloth) and put the lights through to the front. In the day I'm just weird antler woman and at night I'll be multicolore weird antler woman.

I think you'll have a blast.

Dorky?? HEY, NO WAY!!! ;) I hope we see you!! It sounds like FUN!!!

Of course my DS (age 6) would be mortified if DH and I wore santa hats during our upcoming trip.

He would probably call us dorks. ;)

My wife and I are the same kind of people we start wearing our santa hats about the 2nd week of december, I think it shows great spirit and love of fun.

I am a 26 year old teacher. Each day in the week before Christmas break I wear a different piece of headgear. This summer I wore my bride ears everyday and also on the last day of school in summer. GO FOR IT I would.

We are 65 and 77 year old seniors headed for our first Christmas season visit. I'm checking the dollar store regularly so I can get us a couple of raindeer antler headbands with little christmas balls hanging off.

My brother wore a Mickey Mouse beanie hat the last time he went to WDW. I thought it was hilarious and wished I had one! So I don't think you're being dorky at all! Go for it!

Ok, honestly, lets think of all the silly hats and ears that we ALL have worn at some point when we are at WDW!! I think you all will look GREAT!!! Have fun! :jester:

When we get back, I will post a pic of us wearing our headgear in the parks.

I'd like to get a group photo made with a nice, festive park background. Any recommendations for a good spot in each park? This is our first December trip, so any/all suggestions from you that might know will be welcomed. ::yes:: :wave2:

Thanks again for all the wonderful responses...I loved reading your comments! :sunny: Even the post that didn't think much of the idea...but that's all good because I did want truthful replies!! :teeth:  ;) :hyper:
