Are we doing too much...

I don't know where you're from, but are you used to the kind of heat florida has in the summer? I find that I'm barely hungry when I'm in that kind of heat all day, so I would personally struggle with some of your days. As for the breakfast ADRs, are you morning people? Are you in the Eastern or Central time zone? If the answer to both of those is yes, I think they're fine. If the answer to either one is no, I might re-think it.

Ultimately you have to decide how you want to spend your time between the parks and restaurants.

I agree with this, our first trip we did the deluxe plan and we are glad that we did it for that trip, as we got to try so many good restaurants, but by day 3 we realized it was just too much food. Thankfully it was in January and pretty cool, if it had been a hot September trip we never could have eaten even half as much as we did.

We also lived on the East Coast on our first trip and are morning people so early morning rope drop was easy, now that we live on the West Coast we are useless in the morning!

You are also doing a lot of different things and aren't really giving yourself a lot of time to go back and repeat favorites or just hang out somewhere.

When I see a plan like yours I see a trip to WDW where you are going to eat first with the parks second. But to each their own. Have a great trip.

We love planning our ADRs and using the dining plan, so I don't think you've over scheduled at all, except on your Uni day!
Truthfully, I wouldn't schedule anything for that evening, as you don't really know how timing is on the way back.
Otherwise I think you're all good!
ETA: Even in the heat, we find once we slow down in a nice a/c restaurant we are then ravenous, having been busy all day. And those restaurants for us are all part of our vacation experience. With our crazy work schedules at home, dining out at Disney is a pleasure!

I agree with the other posters who recommend dropping the ADR's on the Universal day. You are doing both parks in one day, and Universal has a lot to offer. You might not want to rush back to eat at Disney. Plus they have great restaurants at the parks and Citywalk. Otherwise looks good!

You will be there during F&W so you might want a day where you do no sit down meals and just hit the booths at Epcot. It would be way too much eating for me so I'd probably throw in a couple of signature meals in there just to use 2 credits up.

Looks great to me, but I'm a deluxe dining plan person who enjoys 2 - 3 TS a day while at Disney. We travel in late August so having built in ADRs is perfect, we have to eat anyway and we know we'll have built in cool down/rest time.

The Universal day will be a full one, but with a super early breakfast at Boma, you should get to Universal pretty close to opening and a nice late meal may be a nice way to unwind from a hectic day.

Dh and I have been going to DW FOR OVER 20 years and we both agree that experiencing all of the fabulous restaurants is a great part of the overall trip. Good for yo7 for being so ambitious with your planning ! It sounds great. People ar totally correct about the fact that you will spend time dining that you could be in the parks riding , but, all things are trade-offs , right ? Since this is your first visit you just need to know that you would never be able to do EVERYTHING ( even if you didn't eat at all. That just means you will need to begin planning your next visit right away. Most of all --- enjoy every moment ,no matter what you are doing. Have a wonderful trip -- sounds great !

I would think about dropping the morning ADR on Universal day. We got there just before opening and it took a little while to park & actually get to the gate. A 7:30 ADR not at Universal might take away some valuable park time. If you are planning on doing Harry Potter World I would really suggest doing that as early as possible. We did Diagon Alley first thing and hardly had to wait for anything and it was so nice not dealing with the crowds in the street. Within a few hours it got a lot more crowded. We did both parks in one day also and we felt pretty rushed trying to fit everything, and we did single rider every chance we could too to maximize our time. Depending on the day the park either closes at 7 or 8 in September so I think your 9:30 ADR is fine.

IMHO, drop the ding plan. I cannot eat that much food or spending all that time doing so. We did the regular plan a few years ago and thought that was too much food. Just in case, dinng plans are not designed t save you money.

Too much meals Will take your Time for attractions (3 table meals = 4.5 Hours A day! And It is In the best situation when You are sit on Time And your server not disapear to make the bill!)

I would skip the TS breakfast on your US day. The only other thing is I know I would be hating to get up early for some of those TS breakfasts after a late night.
Hope you have a great trip.

Universal has some good restaurants You should check out, and I wouldn't do 3 meals in a day.

Other than that I like to have 1-2 reservations a day. We're also a couple and though some people don't like to make that many reservations I found it relaxing. We could take some time out of the heat and eat, and I was in a much better mood afterwards. I also don't eat big breakfasts at home, so I couldn't resist doing some! However we did do 3 adrs one day which was a mistake we were way too full at the last one, and we missed out on a lot of snacks.

Personally, I don't think your ADR's will be an issue. My boyfriend and I are going in November and just like you we have a lot of ADR. This trip should be geared towards what you like to do. If you are foodie's like my boyfriend and I, than having ADR won't feel like a chore to get to, they will be exciting! I think you'll have plenty of time to do everything! This is what our plans are so that you can see you are not alone :) This is my boyfriends first time going so I wanted to make sure he could experience as much as possible, so I know how you guys are feeling! Have fun and go with it! You'll have a great time!

It's an impressive schedule and I was a commando (slacking off in my old age). Just a few tips/suggestions. Is Universal a must do? We do Universal with Sea World and Busch Gardens on a whole other vacation. That day seems busy with the two reservations, travel time and the parks themselves. How about MK on arrival and departure day? Have a relaxing Sunday at Typhoon Lagoon then MNSSHP it won't use any more days, we entered at 3:45 this past December and you can still make your reservation.

What's important is what you think, not what I think.

But we much prefer the regular DDP, not the deluxe. I think the Deluxe simply pulls you out of the parks and into the restaurants for too many hours per day. (And you're going in December, when the parks hours are MUCH shorter than our July trip.)

Also, we don't do water parks, we don't do Universal. We get an 8 day WDW ticket, and spend every single day in the Disney parks... there really is plenty there to keep us very busy.

to many adr try to eat in the parks you are going to be in you will save alot of time , you can go to the other dining plan and have one sit down meal your not going to have time for the parks

The ADR's are a huge time suck. I only really like one ADR each day. Sometimes none. If you are not doing three TS meals a day on the Deluxe, you are really losing money too.

My thoughts exactly. I think dining at WDW depends on what you're used to at home. For some folks eating at WDW is a real treat as compared to what they have at home which is great. But for some, it's mostly just mediocre over-priced food. We try to limit ADRs to places we know have good food regardless of the price. This means we may not have an ADR every day. For our trip in November I have only made 4 ADRs for 8 days. There are a couple more I'd like to get but nothing's available. If we don't get them that's OK or we'll try the day before.

It depends on your priorities. There are wonderful meals to be had at Disney, and you have some great restaurants with very unique menus. If your goal is to try new foods, you have a good schedule worked out and will have a good time.

If your goal is to enjoy rides and the parks, then you will find those ADR's are a huge time sink and you will have a difficult time squeezing as many rides as you would like between them.

So again, it all depends on what you want out of WDW. It's hard for anyone else to say as there are so many different ways to enjoy the parks and no one way is less valid than another.
