Are there any great chocolate desserts out there?

It is not always on the menu, but the best choolate dessert I have ever had at WDW was the Chocolate Hazelnut Pyramid at California Grill. It was like a giant Godiva chocolate, and it was sitting in a pool of wam Valrhona chocolate. There was hazelnut ice cream on the side. It was unbelievably good.

I would also recommend Ghirardelli. They have incredible hot fudge.

I vote Ghirardelli, too. I am in love with their chocolate shakes! I haven't tried too many desserts at WDW, but I did get a wonderful chocolate cake wth raspberry sauce at Liberty Tree Tavern in MK. This was at lunch, not at the family style dinner. It had one of those melty chocolate centers, and the raspberry sauce went so nicely wth it! mmmmmmm

I can feel your pain. I have been dieting for almost two years but I go off it when at DW. Just returned from a 16 day trip the other day and when I weighed myself I found that I had gained weight for the first time while at DW. Was .2 pound so I am not too distraught. LOL With all the chocolate I ate it was well worth it.

I had a Mickey Bar several times, not exactly haute cuisine but ever so wonderful. Even reading the NI on the package did not deter me. It was about 80% of my daily fat allowance all by itself.

Kringla at Norway had the best selection of chocolate goodies that I found. There was a Chocolate Mousse cake that we tried and enjoyed but the very best has to be the Chocolate Pound Cake that my hubby picked out . I ragged on him for buying such an "ordinary" dessert as I enjoy something different when away from home. It was anything but ordinary. It was pure, deep, dark and decadent heavy chocolate at its best. I will dream of it until we return and then I am going for it even if it means a .4 weight gain. LOL

Diet until you go and then back on when you return but while at DW, go for it!!
