Are the Turbo toilets at SSR also?

Does SSR also have the Turbo toilets like the All Stars, Pop and AKL.

You know --the really loud high pressure ones as decribed below?


The high performance of this pressure-assisted toilet is achieved by using compressed air inside the tank, which creates a turbo-charged flushing action.

Now that you mention it, it did seem like they were louder than at the other resorts, but I've never stayed at a value so I can't compare.

I don't know about SSR, because they have the handle on the side and I didn't lift the tank lid, but we have them in our house. The first resort we saw them in was POFQ, and we were just getting ready to have a house built. We asked around at Disney and found out who made them, and our contractor was able to get them. They may be a little louder than the average, but they sure do get the job done! They are amazingly efficient.

I think they are similiar but different due to the handle being on the side instead of the button on top of the tank.

Ours are the ones with the button on the top of the tank. We did have to order a replacement pressure tank for one of them after about 12 years, but it was easy to install.

The ones at the BC are definitely not turbo. We had to flush at least twice every single time we used ours there last month. So not all the resorts have them.

I'm glad you saw the turbo before you started your new custom built home.
They really are very innovative.

My BIL had a test model put in his custom built home back in the early '90's.
That was the first turbo toilet I ever saw.
They save on water and with all that power 1 flush is all they usually need to get the job done. If you know what I mean.

Some of the newer models do have a handle on the side.

When the turbo toilets first came out the button was on top of the tank but some of the newer models have the regular handles now.

I thought some of the newer resorts would have the turbo ones.All
newly built hotels/motels have to put in the newer toilets that conserve water and the turbo toilets not only get the job done they require a lot fewer repairs.

Well, I was thinking of that ones that have such force that they give you a "bath" at the same time!
