Are the pools at Grand Floridian crowded?

Grand Floridian is the only resort that I haven't stayed at in many years. Are the two pool areas crowded, relatively speaking?

For me a big part of WDW trips is escaping the cold up north and I definitely build in a couple pool days. My last trip I stayed at the Poly and while I adore the grounds and theming, I was a little surprised at how crowded all of the public areas were, especially the pools (even the quiet pool). Of course Disney is a family destination so none of the pools are going to be quiet and serene, but... relatively speaking.

Thanks!

We were there over Christmas and I would say there was a decent crowd at both of the pools.

They built the pools and people do use them! :)

Yes! We pool hopped to GFV last trip and there wasn't a single spot to sit. The line for the waterslide was also quite long. I remember being aggravated because we ordered lunch and people had stored their pool stuff and the dining tables but were off swimming, so there was no place to eat.

I think it will depend on when you go there. We were there the last week of Feb. the last two years and they were not crowed at all. Seating was available at both pools. Our April vacation week last year was fine too.
