Are the magic bands removable?

I was told that I could have fastpass+ and still get regular fastpasses as long as they don't overlap.


1- So do I have to have a card then instead of a magic band?

Yes. You will get a KTTW card at check in as a back up to your Magic Band. If you would like to pull regular FPs you will use the card. You can also have 3 FP+ selections booked in advance.

2 -The KTTW cards do not need to be activated at the park entrance though, do they?

3- You just use the band for entrance?

1- Yes.
2- No.
3- Yes.

And, just to keep you on your toes...
All of this could change tomorrow, next week, next month, etc., etc., etc.

Has anyone heard if CM passes will ever be added to the FP+? DD is taking us in on two days and we are staying on property and got our wrist bands but I am unable to do anything in advance as we don't have passes. Will we be able to add to the bands once we arrive and she gets us the tickets at the gate?

We used our bands for entry and we missed one of our FP+ times so I just wanted to use the card to do that FP and it wouldn't let me. It said that we couldn't do it because our cards were not used to enter the park.

That's weird I'm here now and have been able to pull legacy fast passes with my kttw card and my annual pass without trouble in addition to fp+

Which might be a real error message that he machine was telling you or it might have been an error. It might have been a problem with the card that should have been fixed. I go towards "that indicates a problem not a hange in what's allowed". Others go the other way.

We are from Canada and so we usually don't have our cell phones with us but if we need to add passes as the day goes on I guess we will need them so that is a consideration.

I'm also from Canada and did not have my cell phone to use while at Disney. If you have any devices which use Wifi, like an iPod, iPad, tablet, you can use those to access the free wifi and either make FP+ secections on the fly or modify them as you go. I used my iPod in the parks and had no issues whatsoever.

Maybe it was just as glitch or something but at the time I didn't think to try again.
