I had posted a previous thread about booking a GV at a 7 month window, it happens rarely I was told. Are the GV really worth it, or would a 2br + 1br be okay. Are the GVs as wonderful as they look in the pictures? I am so disappointed I might never have a chance to stay in one.

I will just have to really sweet talk my DH to add on somewhere with a GV. How is this....wow honey, have you been working out???? Do you think it will work???:smooth:

Yes............the GV's are very nice.;)

We bought 230 points in '92. We bought intending to use the two bedroom unit and the ability to be flexible with other optiopns. For our first trip in '93 we had two years worth of points. We got the GV for twelve nights with a bunch of points left over. When we got there we realized that we would need the GV every year, so we added on 200 more points during that first stay.

Its a real nice way to travel. I realy don't consider a vacation where you have to share a room with anybody but your spouse a vacation. I really don't want kids sleeping in the room and I don't like inviting guests only to force them to sleep in the same room with the kids.

The GV works perfectly. We get a room, another couple gets a room and the common kids share the third bedroom. There is even a pull out in the living room for the stray teenager.

There really is no better way to vacation.

Yes, the GV's are totally worth it and yes, they are as wonderful as they look. Don't get me wrong, a 2br & 1br are very nice too, but if you can get the GV, I don't think you will be disappointed.

Have you thought about trading points with someone at the resort you want to stay at to book at 11 mos?

We were lucky enough to get a GV last October prior to our cruise. This was our first stay at a DVC resort and it is spectacular. We've since stayed at BCV in a studio and HH in a one bedroom, and all I can say is "Wow" all of our accomodations have been great. My family was with us for our OKW GV and were very impressed! However, I don't think you would be disappointed with the 1 and 2 bedrooms one either.

NO, the GV are not worth it, especially at OKW, don't ever stay there. :jester: :jester:

Hey guys, the GVs are hard enough to get, don't go telling everyone how great they are, we will never be able to get one.
