Are the GACs at DL the same as WDW?

When we go to WDW I get a GAC. I don't have a problem waiting in line I just can't wait in the normal line because I am claustrophobic. The crush of the normal line can cause a panic attack. Thanks in advance.

The information about GACs (Guest Assistance Cards) in post 6 of the disABILITIES FAQs thread was written about WDW. The general information about how you get one and how they work is the same.
Because of how old DL is and how space is arranged, some of the accommodations are different. So, exactly how things are handled at each attraction may work out a bit differently than at WDW.
DCA is a newer park and has more ways available to meet needs.

There are also trip planning services, like Ridemax and smart phone apps that many people find are even more helpful to them than using a GAC in situations like yours. They can help you plan your day to be in the least busy parts and attractions of the parks. They help plan in ways that shorten your wait and also the number of people waiting.

What is it about the line that makes you feel claustrophobic as compared to being on the actual ride? I'm not sure how even a GAC helps in that situation as even when going through the fastpass line you still go through the same sort of line just quicker, other then waiting in a separate room/area whilst your family ques and then you join them at the ride point! I suppose that accommodation would be quite helpful :) I found that GAC at DL in the magic kingdom park to be very helpful but when it came to the other park they didn't give the same accommodations as they believed that they had made all lines accessible for wheel chair users and thought that solved any problems we had to really fight to get the same accommodation for my sons needs & mine to make our day easier! Infact on 4 different occasions through out the stay they said they didn't even do GAC for the DLC park!! It wasn't until we explained we would be not staying to the hotel as my son was not coping that the desk had it sorted that we would get the card and get it with the same accommodation that we got at WDW.

I have GAC's for both Disneyland and WDW. I have had no problem getting them and they really help me out. I also find that on the Finding Nemo submarine attraction they have a room where you can experience the same ride but not in a enclosed submarine. It is called the Outpost. PM me for any other info or questions you may have for Disneyland... it is our second home.:)

Good suggestion about the outpost. I don't consider myself claustrophobic, but the submarine is very enclosed.
