Are crocs really that comfortable?

I just got 2 new pairs of crocs yesterday for my birthday. I started breaking them in- wore red Sat and green Sun. I will keep alternating them for the next few weeks getting them ready for our trip. My feet have ached the past 2 days but I know that within a few weeks they will be great. I have 10 pairs of crocs now but wanted red & green for our Dec trip!

I do love my Crocs. I don't wear them all the time; what I like to do is wear my sneakers or Birks most of the day in the parks, and then put my Crocs on late in the day when my feet have started to hurt. Then they feel like heaven. I have a lined pair I use as house slippers; and an extra house pair I wear when I'm standing for a long time in the kitchen.

My 9-year-old would rather wear his Crocs than any other shoe, although his school has banned them because they are not safe for running around on the playground.

My husband on the other hand has the most bizarre feet ever, like stick thin but really, really long. He tried on some Crocs and they were way too wide and he thought he was going to topple over. Obviously he can't wear them.

I find them mega comfy but once it rains I cant stand them I slip and slide in them and have fallen a few times. But really if its not wet they are wonderful. I mostly used my airwalks for the trip however

I find them to be comfortable, but I cannot get past the ugliness of them. I usually wear YellowBox flip-flops...those have proven to be the most comfortable.

I have to agree with this. I like the crocs and all, and I have worn them, but I love my YellowBox flip-flops, they are wonderful. Another thing too, the crock flip flops nearly killed my feet. I hate them.

No way. They have zero support. ZERO. And I know from working at a job where I'm on my feet 12+ hours plus walking all over the city because I do not drive you need support. Your back, legs, and feet will thank you. But to wear to the pool or around the hotel, sure. They are like flip flops to me, fine for a few minutes or a short walk but not for heavy duty all day walking.

Haha, this is my story. Narrow, thin feet, but size ten! I have the hardest time finding shoes, only the Crocs Modi flip flop worked for me.

have plantar fac. so have to wear shoes with great arch support...while Crocs are nice & cushy they provide next to no arch support. I have several kinds of crocs, including the original style...none of them give arch support.

I do like to have crocs to wear around the hotel room at the end of the night when I need some sort of shoe..the cushioned impact is good on sore/tired feet. Just not for all day/major hikes in the parks.

So....as usual with all shoe threads, we have proven once again that...wait for it....no shoe works for all people. No matter what brand of shoe you ask about, some will love them, some will hate them. Some never had a blister with them, some had blisters before they got out of the parking lot into the park. Some liked the arch support, some felt they had no support.

What it boils down to is that NO SHOES are right for all feet. Wear what is comfortable for you (and if they're butt ugly, who cares, you're on VACATION! You're never gonna see these people again anyway.)

Flame away, but I couldn't care less how comfortable they are, they are THE ugliest shoes I have ever seen and I would not be caught dead in them. I will keep my sneakers thank you And on men? Really? And with socks? UGH...even worse.

I'm usually having too much fun at DW to even notice what others are wearing unless it's unusual or indecent. I don't really care what shoes someone wears, I figure they all have their reasons for wearing them. I might wonder if it's uncomfortable when I see a woman with high heels, but it's rare that I pay attention.

Oh the high heels crack me up!!! I always wonder what these girls are thinking wearing them. But I wonder that about the crocs people too However, I assume the crocs would be more comfortable albeit ugly.

Seems like some people are far too judgmental and worried about what others are doing. Vanity is ugly too. Just sayin'.

I've got numerous pairs of Crocs.. Heeled ones for work, fur lined for winter, the Mary Janes, the flip flops, and the original (ugly ones). With bad knees and ankles, I find they give the most comfort on long walks. Today I bought the Crocs Patricia for our November trip. I'm wearing them now, and the comfort sole is great, I'm a little concerned about the top strap, but the reviews say they will stretch out to my foot. So, for me, YES, I find them super comfy, but like some other posters said, they aren't for everyone, and yes, some of the styles are extremely UGLY.

I've been checking the results and they've been consistently staying around 80% for yes. I think that's pretty good!! I wish people could get passed the unattractiveness and just try them out. There are lots of styles now, not just the original ugly ones. You're missing out!!!

Personally I couldn't care less what shoes anyone decides to wear...especially at Disney.

That being said, I said the exact same thing as you for years. I didn't care how comfortable anyone said they were, they are hideous and I wasn't wearing them. Today, I still think they are hideous, but I wouldn't go to Disney without them. My sister got me a pair to try on my last trip. I decided to give them a try for one day, they didn't leave my feet the rest of the trip. It was awesome. I used to swear by my KSwiss at Disney, but the Crocs really were way more comfortable, especially for standing. So, yes they are ugly, but comfort won out for me.

I think they are very ugly shoes. I also don't wear Uggs with shorts
If someone else likes them and finds them comfy thats still cool with me - I really don't care what others wear on their feet - I won't judge them as a person! Especially at DISNEY. Just because I don't 'like' them (hey I don't like polka dots on my clothes either but Minnie Rocks That Look!) doesn't mean others shouldn't be happy with their choice.
It's just my wee opinion.
My MIL and FIL each have a pair that they adore, mostly worn around the house and gardening but whatever style it is they find them very comfy.

I hated the look of Crocs for the longest and DD19 and her BFF were with me at WDW a few years ago and I had on sneakers. My feet were killing me! DD told me I had to get me some Crocs and it must be so because they had Mickey on them. I bought them and I refuse to go again without my Crocs as long as they are making them! I can go for a very long time and still not have aching feet. Ugly or not, they still have Mickey on them.
