Are concierge guests allowed to take food/drinks from the lounge to their rooms?

I was just wondering if concierge guests are allowed to take food and drinks from the concierge lounge back to their room?

Is there a limit as to how much you can take? Like in the evening if I wanted to take a couple of beers for hubby and I, and couple of pops for the kids, can I do that? (Also, I'm a diet pop fiend in the morning.....that's my caffine fix for the day, and I can easily drink 2 cans of diet Coke or Pepsi before heading out to the parks.)

Can we come back for seconds? What about bottled water.....can we take bottles of water with us in the morning before heading out to the parks? What about bags of chips and such?

Sorry if these are weird questions, but I don't want to do anything that would be considered wrong.

we did But i always brought a kid with me, for an extra set of hands. I think after awhile, they know how many are in your party.

In the morning, we would have breakfast and throw extra's in the bottom of the stroller.

Beers- I am not sure about. I know DH did get 2 once, so we could still on the baloncy and people watch.

Well, that's kind of what we had in mind too. We were thinking of booking one of the concierge pool-side cabana rooms at the PPH and grabbing some beers in the early evening to take back to our room and drink while sitting out on our patio watching the kids go down the slide. I just wasn't sure if something like that was allowed or not.

I don't think that they bring the beer out until in the evening, but I don't think they mind you taking it to the room. As far as the other stuff, they highly encourage you to take drinks and snacks with you into the park, as well as your room. We stayed DLH concierge in 2007, and they were always pushing water bottles on us for the parks every morning. Did you find the AWESOME AP concierge rate that I spoke about on the other thread??? Great, isn't it??!! It will save us a bundle in food and drinks.

It would be a lot of fun, right?!!!

We're still not sure if we'll do it though. We're wavering back and fourth between spluring a little or trying to do more of a budget trip.

I had a 5 for 3 package at DLH for a std room with no tickets (have APs). I kept checking the AP site for our trip in Sept. and found that PPH concierge was $179 for every night of our stay. It has since changed to much higher for the week that we are there, but there are still nights available at that rate. So basically, I got PPH concierge for the same price (actually a little cheaper) as my DLH std room. I am so STOKED because I don't have to ship breakfast food or worry about drinks. I am just trying to share the wealth because with this economy, we are all in the same boat!!! I hope you can take advantage of it!!! There are some cheap rates in August and Sept, but the rates go back up in Oct.

Wow Canyon Girl, $179 for a Concierge room is a SUPER bargain! I would have snapped it up, too. We are paying $159 for a DLH view room and would gladly pay $20 to make the switch. Do you know if you get a view room? That would make the deal even sweeter!

I think that is for a std. view. I have requested a cabana room, though. As I said, the rate is dwindling fast. I have seen it go from that rate all week to $288 per night for 5 nights of our stay, but there are still some available.

When we got the beer and wine from DLH concierge, they poured it into glasses for us. So it would have felt weird to us to carry it out. However, we didn't want to, b/c it was nice to just sit and relax from 5-7 (or 8) or somewhere in between, and have the wine/beer, some cheese, etc.

The waters are the small size (at least at DLH) and they never once objected to taking 2 per person at a time, along with drinking one while we were in there chatting with the sweet Natalie.

They have cups with saucers for coffee/tea/cocoa, but they also have to go cups with lids *right there*. They are definitely OK with you taking that out.

They had small cream cheeses in the door of the fridge with the waters (and sodas and Minute Maid apple juice boxes and milk I think) so those were definitely portable.

And they had proper plates and paper plates right next to each other for the foods and snacks.

I've read that WDW "club" level you're not supposed to take stuff even to your room, and they pour out the water into glasses for you, but at DLR they seem to be much more OK with it.

I tell you, the DLH concierge trip was by far our most fed and watered trip! I had misgivings about the whole thing before, but if you can get a terrific price on it, I think I'm in the "it's a good thing" camp now, especially as I think back on it....

YEAH!!! Glad that you got it!!! We will overlap; since, we are there Sept. 12-20 (Don't ask...Snowball effect!!!). I'm really glad that you were able to take advantage of it. I have never stayed at PPH, so I don't know what rooms are best. Since we have the kids with us, I thought that cabana would be nice for them. I hope someone chimes in and lets us know which rooms are best! See you there!

We're planning a trip for the end of September. I want to do PPH with concierge. The only thing that's bothering me is PPH concierge lounge I think closes at 8:00 pm, right at the same time Disneyland closes. But over at the DLH it stays open until 10:00 pm. I would make reservations for DLH, but concierge is already booked for the days I want. It seems really unfair that they close 2 hours before the DLH lounge. It would be nice, since we're paying extra money, if they could keep it open later so we can enjoy it after Disneyland closes. Now if we want to go in the evening we have to leave Disneyland early just to get to the lounge before it closes. Does anyone know if this is indeed true? I'm really hoping it's not. And what about the pool hours during that time? Does the pool also close early?
