Are Camelbaks allowed in the parks?

Sorry, my body just isn't that stupid that it can be tricked into thinking that the remaining 90+% of my body that doesn't have ice next to it is chilly. :rotfl:

Oh, and just for everyone's information...like the obesity thing, in a way, anyone that wanders into the park and walks around all day with a supply of water on their backs...immediately cancels out any ability to criticize anyone for using a fanny pack. On a list of one to ten with one being that coolest look available, fanny packs are a 10 and camel-backs are 15. Silliest looking things I have ever seen. I could tell you what they remind me of but I would be roundly scolded due to the family nature of this board.

Oh go for the whole look : don't take yourself seriously ;)fanny pack, camelback, Mickey Crocs with optional Jibbitz WITH socks , and Magic Bands with optional "Bling" you only live once and you'll never see these people again :lmao:

Then there are some scientists that will want to speak with you! It is a common phenomenon, like how dipping your feet in water cools your body. It cools the blood flowing through the area (even by fractions of a degree) which in turn provides relief to your body.

I don't get it, they look just like backpacks, at least the ones we have for hiking do. Do you feel that way about all backpacks?

I agree. They look just like backpacks.we used them when were just there 2 weeks ago and they were lifesavers. None of us got dehydrated, and its so easy to just take a drink whenever you want to without having to find somewher to get water

DH has had one forever but, after a recent hike, we decided to get the kids their own. DD's looks exactly like a backpack and DS's looks pretty similar to one. We are excited to have them for Disney as well as our outdoor adventures. Of course, now I feel left out...

Last trip, I carried a water bottle. We went through it pretty fast and it was annoying to keep stopping to ask for a cup of ice water. Also, it seemed so wasteful since they had to give me a cup rather than just filling my bottle. I figure the Camelbaks will save several stops and several paper cups from the trash.

I already do that stuff except for the camel-back...one has to draw the line someplace. The rest of you might be able to cool down in the Florida heat for the first few minutes until the ice melts and the water gets to boiling point and then the fooling process is over and all you do is sweat :scared: under the now uncomfortable camel-back and all of a sudden you know why camels smell bad and spit a lot.:rotfl:

I'm going to have to check with the judges, but I think the quoting of a Warner Brother's character, particularly their flagship character, is unacceptable without giving the equivalent Disney character the same amount of lines (also known as the "Roger Rabbit Rule")

Ooooooh, sorry, the Italians, French, Japanese, Canadian and Australian judges were alright, but the East German judge has given you a game misconduct and penalized you 15 points and 12 meters.

Again, sorry.

Camelbaks the water inside does not get hot. The ice will melt throughout the day. Don't buy a CHEAP off brand that is not insulated. Also, the pack you put the bladder in makes a difference in air flow between your back and the pack or if it lays directly against your back. Really, not sure why I would even try to explain to someone like you who doesn't care to understand only judge others.

We are a military family (DH, ME, our parents, unless, etc.) and a boy scout family with an Eagle Scout. We hike the Appalchain trail, military marches, etc. and a camelbak (or another good namebrand) is excellent for hydration and keeping the body more comfortable. Honestly, although we have them, we have never brought them into the parks because we are an extremely fit family who doesn't view Disney as such a big deal. Yes it's hot, we sweat, but it is not a physical activity to us so we have never even thought about it. I have seen others wearing them in the park and think it's perfectly find. A good camel bak fits snug to the body and is not a bother to carry at all. Carry a baby in a carrier would be hotter, heavier, and more uncomfortable but people do it.

Who cares about fanny packs? What obesity thing are you talking about? The people I see wearing camel baks look like very fit men. I actually assume they are also military. Americans in general are so judgemental. Just pay attention to yourself and your family and who cares what anyone else does.

There are also cooling vests.

Well said. I'm a runner and former girl scout. We are bring mine to the park.

It's kinda classed as a backpack so in regard to rides etc you will have to either take it off and put it in a locker (like MIB) or put it on your lap/feet.
A good bit advice for your water is to put a very cold bottle in the Camelpak then fill the rest with bottled water as it will stay cool all day.

Heavens, I don't mean to be snarky, but, perhaps a good idea would be to stop in a gift shop along the way and see if you can pick up a bag of humor. Seriously, I don't care if you actually wear a camel on your back, that is your business. Judgment isn't even part of the discussion in any serious sense.

Try not to judge me because I wouldn't be caught dead wearing one or imply that I am out of shape and non-military (not sure what that has to do with anything anyway). As you said, Disney is not a survival march. There are places to get water every 10 feet, carting it around like a pack animal is not necessary in my opinion. But if you want too or anyone else wants too...great. What do I care. Carrying a baby on your back is a little less of a choice. You can't very well leave the baby sitting on a bench while you tour the parks, you pretty much have to bring it with you, uncomfortable or not.

Obesity has nothing to do with it... it was a type of discussion comparison. Sorry I ruined your day.
