Are ADRs tied to your name or your resort reservation?

I feel like I should know this already, but I figured you nice people will know for sure. :goodvibes

I'm about to book for an upcoming trip but I just wanted to know - will my ADRs be tied to my name or my resort reservation? If fall discounts come out and I have to change resorts to get a discount, I don't want to lose my ADRs.

They're tied to your name. A resort change will have no affect on your ADRs. The only thing a resort reservation is needed for is to get you the 180+10 booking window for making dining reservations.

Agree that it's your name. We changed our resort (cancelled and rebooked on the web site) and it did not affect the dinner reservations.

Question along this same line: if they're tied to your name, could both my husband and I be online at 6am on our ADR day booking different places at the same time?

We are totally new to the Dining Plan and crossing our fingers for free dining!

Thanks!

Do you each have your own MDE account? I think the system will prevent you from having 2 different ADRs at the same time, which it would only know if you're in the same account. . . I'm also not sure whether the system will allow you to be logged in on 2 different devices with the same username at the same time - you might confuse Disny's notoriously glitchy system!

My husband and I each have our own MDE account, but both are connected to our hotel/dining reservation. The closer we get to reservation day, the more nervous I'm getting!
