Are A&E fastpass trades usually successful?

I'm just wondering since it would only take a millisecond for someone to snatch the A&E out of the FP...so in your experience have your trades been successful?

I gave mine up over the phone to another DISer on the October thread. It went perfectly. We were both online, logged in, refreshed and ready to go. I changed my experience and the other party had no FP+ for that day and began the search for A&E in the time frame I released. No problems. Pick a time of day that is NOT the opening of a FP+ window, lunch break, after work etc. We did ours around 10AM.

I'm guessing if you are not picking one up it would go a lot smoother...but what if both parties are trading for a different FP+ window?

Unfortunately, a nice DIS'er tried to give me theirs, but yes, in that millisecond they were gone. This was in the evening, too, a random time. YMMV, but it's worth a shot! We never got to meet them, but I'm guessing when the ride opens, we'll go back and maybe get a chance then.

I tried to trade mine for BOG Ressie. The person got my A&E just fine but the BOG seemed to disappear into thin air. Oh well, I guess it's the name of the game.

I managed to give a set of three up to another Diser we did it in the morning at a random time but I think a lot if it is just luck to be honest. But it's worth a shot every time I would say :goodvibes

I've released sets of A&E FPs twice to people from DIS. We did it by phone both times, so that we could coordinate the time exactly. I hit cancel on mine and yelled, "Now" and both of my people immediately saw and grabbed my released FPs. The first time was in May and the second one was in August.

A sweet and gracious DIS-er :goodvibes and her DD princess: gave up 2 of their A&E FPs for DD and me. We arranged it over Private Messages on the DIS. There was likely a 1 - 2 minutes lag time w/her release and my pick up due to waiting on the PM emails. It worked for us!

She told me the time of her A&E FP several days ahead of time. I rearranged my existing FP times a couple of days beforehand....scheduling one of my three FPs to coincide w/her A&E FP time. So all I had to do was select change experience on that particular fast pass....keeping the same time.

We did that transaction about 8:30 one morning in September. I'm still SOOOOO grateful!

:)

Haven't the lines been not as bad anymore?

"Not as bad" is kind of subjective. The wait is easily an hour or more most of the day. Though sometimes in the afternoon or evening the posted wait will drop to 30 or 40 minutes. The FP+ for A&E is still pretty useful.

I was successfully able to get a set that a very generous person gave me. I think the key is doing it at off times and coordinating a swap time privately.

It worked for us! :thumbsup2

Followed that month's thread until I found someone releasing A&E FPs in a time-slot that worked for us. We called each other so that the release was timed perfectly. I had to refresh twice before they showed up, but they finally did. It wasn't a trade, though. She just didn't need them anymore.

The other FPs I was able to get one-at-a-time until we were all within overlapping time windows.

I had a successful trade off with another DISer. We did it through text messages and the cancelled fp shows up almost immediately.
