Arby's; yay or nay?

One thing I have noticed about Arbys potato selection is that it varies. Some of them offer potato cakes or curly fries. Other locations offer regular french fries or curly fries. I think the curly fries are the constant though.

Former Seattle-ite here. This was predicted with the minimum wage hikes. Locals wanted it, but they don't want to pay more for their fast food. One of the 2 things has to give.

Our kids LOVE Arby's. I'd rate it as "good," and above the burger joints. I currently work in the Arby's corporate building in Atlanta. When they moved in, I had high hopes of a taste kitchen or at least quick access to curly fries. Alas... it didn't happen.

Well a quick google map debunks that prediction. It in fact shows a ton of fast food places in Seattle itself. And that is not to mention that Seattle has become a top 10 restaurant town on most lists. What is happening in Seattle is the same thing that is happening in any up and coming food city. Many of the older fast food and sit down restaurant food establishments are leaving because of competition from newer and better ones. It's happening here too and our minimum wage is still at federal level.

I have found that the potato cakes can be too greasy for my liking.

Not a fan. Everything is on an onion roll and I’m not a fan of onion rolls. Also I don’t like roast beef and fast food roast beef seems weird to me. Had it a few times in my life, don’t feel the need to have it ever again

I'm a fan of their gyros and their ruben sandwich. Oh and the jalapeno poppers. Their fries, for me, are blah. They stick together too much.

But how does a place like Dick's survive and even thrive? The place is mobbed every time I go there. They run a tight ship there. Workers are super efficient. That is how they can afford to pay $17 per hour to start, offer to pay 100% of your health insurance premiums, and offer to pay college students a $25,000 scholarship.

I've lived within 5 minutes of Arby's for 7 years, I've been there twice. I like the food but it seems expensive for what it is. I tell myself to getting something from the fridge and saving the money.

Regular Roast Beef, maybe two of them. No curly fries (not a fan of curly fries or waffle fries). Just two regular roast beef sandwiches for me. We have one about 15 miles away, so we don't get there often.

I dont mind Arbys ( love love love horsie sauce) but I get sick every time I eat there. Something in their food disagrees with me.

Does anyone remember the amazing grilled chicken sandwiches they had in the late 80s, early 90s with the poppyseeds?

We eat at Arby's probably about once a month.

My choice is the Smokehouse Brisket with Extra Onion Tanglers.
I like the Potato Cakes and the Curly Fries so the best is when I go with the hubby cuz one can get potato cakes and the other curly fries and we can then share both.
