APs with DVC Discount

Hello All-
We will be going at the end of October and need to purchase APs, as our others have been expired for a while.

How do you go about purchasing an AP as a DVC member??? Is there something special I have to do beforehand, or do I just go to a Guest Services counter at one of the parks, show my DVC ID card, and we're good to go?????

You can buy them in advance or on site at the parks. I bought through the link on the member website and they mailed vouchers in a couple of weeks. You still need to go to the ticket windows at the parks to redeem the vouchers for your passes.

One reason to get them before hand is if you also plan on getting the DDE card (Disney Dining Experience) for 20% off certain meals and beverages.

Yes. When you call the CM will ask for the numbers from the back of the voucher. THe DDE cards are good 12 -13 months from date of ordering/purchase. They do not necessarily run concurrently with your AP/PAP

That's exactly all you need to do. We got our AP's in April and we exactly that. Showed our blue card, driver's license and of course, our credit card!

I ordered my discounted AP and just received a bright green exchange certificate. Is this the same as the vouchers everyone talks about. I really don't see any special number on the back that the CM would ask me for. I'm want to order the DDE card so I'm hoping I have what I need.

Yes - the green exchange certificate is what you need. The CM at DDE will help you find the combination of numbers and letters you need to provide.

I tried to order my AP from the DVC web site yesterday and I kept getting an error. I will try again later today and if that doesn;t work I will just call.

If I get my AP vouchers in a few weeks and I want to get a DDE card. Do they send the DDE card to me also or do I pick up the DDE card when I exchange my AP vouchers?

That depends on who long before your trip. If you order your AP vouchers on-line, you will have them within the week (I ordered on a Monday and got them on Friday). You can then call and order that DDE card, and it will be sent to you in 3-4 weeks. If you don't have that much time, they will have a temporary letter for you that you can pick up at Epcot customer service.

We are not going until Nov 5th. So that should be enough time to get both.
If not is Epcot the only place to get the letter

If you order your vouchers this week, you will have plenty of time to get the DDE card delivered by your trip. If it does not arrive in time, you can still call and they will have a letter waiting for you. Yes, I think Epcot is the only place you can get that.
