April, May, June AP Watch. Let's Get it Started

Well the old saying stands true, If it sounds to good to be true it probably is. I called back to double check my reservation and the CM had changed the room class to the lodge concierge. No good, I had to make two phone calls to get my original reservation back..... and on top of it the PIN discount does not apply. So I am patiently waiting with the rest of you
 

Last year I was able to apply the room only discount code of $100 per night to my RPC reservation. I hope I can do the same this year.
 
3/3 7 am...nothing yet.

Well enough already and just release them . I wonder how many room will be available when they do, I think alot of DV holders got some good deals and we AP holders are left waiting again.

When we booked in January for this May trip, it was a spur of the moment kind of thing, hoping the AP disc. would justify us going back so soon. Please, give us the codes!

Now that they made us wait so long, does it mean, when it does come out, the "block" of rooms they have for the AP rates will be gone in a flash?! oh dear...:(
 
The DV codes are a real bummer for us in Canada since Bank One has not applied to do business in Canada and hence we are not allowed to get a DV card as a non-US domiciled person

Yes, I know, wait and see....but,
just called the 800 # off my receipt from buying my AP and played dumb. The CM said that they should release those discounts in about 2 weeks, which is in line for what we have already heard. I then(dumb) said, but what if I dont call that day since I dont know what day that is...could I still get a discount? He then said that more than likely as they have plenty of discount rooms at this time. Take it for what it is worth. I will still keep checking daily.

If you call and they have released a new discount, can you get it without telling them what the code is? I am wondering because I've read posts where one CM will know about it and another may not.

is somewhat different. When you ask for the passholder's rate, a reservationist is able to locate it (usually) by that name rather than a specific code. That's not to say there won't be a code associated with it, but they can usually locate it without the code. Once the AP rates are released, you'll see the news posted on the boards (or Mousesavers) very quickly with any information you may need to book it.

But what if it is the discount for the general public? Would the CM's be able to look it up and apply it to my room without my giving them the actual code? Sorry for all the questions. :wave2:

The general public codes work similarly to those you've been seeing here. Mousesavers is usually prompt in getting out the word, but oftentimes I see the code here first. Since I've never been one to uncover the code, I'm not sure how people "know" it's out there. I know from my own experience, a reservationist isn't very adept at (or forthcoming about) finding a discount without a code. You will have more luck if you know the discount code when you call.

Rest assured, if and/or when a discount code for the general public is released, it will be all over this board and Mousesavers! :sunny:

Hi, Thank you for the daily update. You have saved me from having to call.
I hope you have a 1800 no.
I live just south of Binghamton NY. In Pa.(outside of Montrose). So you dont live that far from me.
As a matter of fact I will now have to go to the disney store in your mall, If I need anything....It is about 1 1/2 hrs. to get there.
At least the weather seems to be getting alittle better!....
Anyway thanks again for keeping us posted.

Even though you frequently save me a phone call, I admit that I often call them anyway just so the volume of callers asking for the AP rates is as high as possible.

It's my passive-aggressive way of saying "release the discounts already!!!"
