Got some new luggage today for the cruise! Getting anxious! The more cold weather we get, the more anxious I get to get out of here for spring break!!

I'm getting excited too.
We are near the 100 day mark. I'm counting 4/4 since that is the day we'll leave home. I don't count "today" and I don't count 4/4 so that means 100 days to go .

I have started pre-packing. I put the summer stuff of mine I plan to carry in a bag in my closet - not all my summer stuff. I picked up some new stuff for youngest DD on sale at the end of the summer and I have it in a box in my closet. The others are harder to buy for in advance. I have all of DHs "tropical shirts" together in one place.

We have over $500 worth of points on our Disney Visa and still counting (paying off the cruise on 1/3 will add $65 more) .

Key West--Trolley/Train tour on our own OR JUST WALK ?

Cayman--Pirate Encounter!!

Cozumel---Beach - forget which one - on our own -

Castaway Cay--hope to see SB this time around - nothing "extra".

It's not going to be long now! I definitely need to start packing. LOL! For our ship be sold out it is really weird that we don't have more people posting. I've been crazy busy with work and the holidays, but I hope to be on more frequently now that the relatives are gone.

Has anyone heard about a new pirate breakfast? I read a short paragraph about it on the Castaway Club website. There wasn't any information as to when it would start. It sounded cool though.

What makes you think we are sold out? Looks like only cat1-3, 8,11 & 12 are sold out. The other 6 cats. are still available.

I'm making my final payment next Friday Woo hoo 1/4....then I'm planning to book the excursions I cannot wait...now its so real for me since I'm a teacher and our next big vacation is Spring Break. We start back on the 7th of January and I start my countdown on the board to spring break and disney cruise Josh's birthday is 1/10 and I'm planning to go to a Disney Park on the 13th...not sure if he wants Magic Kingdom or Animal Kingdom...I love Animal Kindgom so we'll seeLOL..

Josh keeps asking me about all the kids going from this thread. He wants to make friends to hang with for sure...right now he's into singing/music/he plays basketball/love spiderman/did I tell you he wants to be a ship architect. He's collected over 25 ships...So getting to talk to the captain is going to be a big deal for him I just want some peace and fun...also love to make new friends to keep in touch with through the year. This is a treat for me. I graduate in June with my Masters in Ed Leadership so its gonna be my early gift

Paying for my cruise tomorrow on my Disney Visa. So glad I waited, as Disney just started a 3 month promotion where any amt in a month over $1200 on the Visa gets 5x the reward points!!! More spending money for onboard!

Everyone ready to make reservations on line Saturday at midnight?!?! When we went on our 4 day last year, I did not know reservations could be a problem, and did not rush. Still had no problem getting brunch and dinner at Palo. Hope its the same this time.

I got a thing in the mail. It said you had to log in to Chase/Disney cards and sign up. Then for Jan 1-March 31, you will get 5X the disney dollars for amounts charged over ______ .(mine said $1200, but the way I read it is that everyone's amt. may be different.)

dmi188 - I guess you are right - it's not sold out. When I spoke to Disney they told me that it was booked pretty solid. I see on the web that they do have openings though.

Excursions - What is everyone planning to do? I don't think we'll do any though Disney. I'm thinking doing the Key West Trolley, swimming with dolpohins and 7 mile beach. Anyone been to 7 mile beach? Where should we ask the taxi to drop us?

Key West, I think the trolley on our own. (Gotta stop for Key Lime Pie!)
Grand Cayman, the shipwreck snorkel.
Cozumel, maybe Chankanaab on our own.
Just waiting not so patiently for Saturday, when we can book our excursions, and Palo, of course!

I do't know if I'm doing an on your own..I was looking at the following:

Shipwreck Museum and Aquarium in Key West

Dolphin Encounter in COzumel

Pirate Encounter in Grand Cayman

Stingrays at Castaway Cay

I checked on some websites and noticed that the days we are in GC and Cozumel there are MANY other cruise ships in port... It looks like the busiest day in April at each port - like 7 ships each day. I am wondering how crowded the excursions are going to be and if I should stay with Disney, rather than try a private company.... Has anyone else noticed this?

I don't know about that...probably real crowded regardless if went with Disney or private company I think. I guess going private company in GC for the stingrays is probably better....

I just paid off my cruise today so I really need to book my excursions tomorrow

Did you all book your Palo, yet? I tried online just now and it is not letting me. We are castaway club and paid in full so I cannot figure it out.

We have to wait until midnight tonight is what we were told So my Cruise Buddy and I will celbrate our 2nd "New Year's Eve" and at the stroke of midnight - be on booking our Palo's and on our cells at the same time

Thank you. I guess I was a day ahead in my mind! I don't know if I will be up at midnight, though. I am looking to book Palo on the last night. Do you think that will be hard to get?

Not Sure! Last cruise was our 1st and we tried to book at the 75 day mark and could not get ANYTHING at all. That's the main reason we are going to be up at midnight - but I am usually up anyway - to book tonight

I can't believe how close it is! WOO HOO!!!!!!

I will be up tonight! Hopefully online booking will go well, with no gliches. I am hoping to book Palo for pirate night. If that is unavailble, I will try for early on the first night. We have late dining, and last time, could barely stay awake for that first late dinner. Flying in the day of really left us exhausted!

We are thinking about the Tea but definitely doing dinner and Brunch! We did not get to try the Brunch on our 1st Cruise and have heard great things about it so trying to get that as well. Happy Booking Castaway Club Friends!
