April 5, 2008 7 Night Western

Just stopped by for a cruise fix. Now that the school year has started Spring Break feels within reach. :cool1: My ds is turning 8 this weekend, so I have been busy as well.

I did book WL for 2 nights prior to cruise a few days ago. We will get in 1 day at the MK on Friday. I just can't go to FL without getting a WDW day. This will be our first stay at WL - gotta love those Disney Visa points which are helping to make it possible!

We have finally booked the Spring Break 2008 cruise! :cheer2:

We love the Mickey Boat and cannot wait to set sail again. My girls have been talking about going again since June '06.

My older two will be 14 and 16 this go around. We did the Eastern 4/1/06. Girls were 14 & 12. They loved the activities offered. There were enough tweens 11-13ish that they made a sub group. Made the 12 yr-old happy to not be "in the club". They stayed in the Ocean Quest. This time she will be a real teen like your DD. The had a swim party late one night, a "prom". (that is what I recall - neither is home at the moment to ask. (16 ballet, 14 clarinet lesson))

10 mins until Prison Break - go to run!!!:cool1:

5 1/2 months basically - already packing - no joke!

Good deal...our DD14 plays flute...maybe they'll run into each other at the club.

I am so sorry that I have been lapse in posting and updating post 1. It was a really busy summer and first quarter of school. I want to welcome everyone to this thread. I am so glad you will be cruising in April and can't wait to meet you. Please let me know if I didn't capture your information correctly in post 1.

Thanks,
Kim

Hi. I think meeting at Fish Lips is a brilliant idea. dwick and my party probably won't we able to make it as we'll be driving down to the port the night before we sail after a day at Animal Kingdom. I'm not sure when we'll actually be getting to the port.

Anyone interested in gathering around 3pm onboard the day we sail?
Also - anyone interested in doing any kind of exchange - maybe postcards or something?

Kim

We'll be there! This is also our first 7 day. We will be taking our DS 8 and our DD 5 for a Spring Break cruise.

Welcome Kim. I think there are going to be a lot of Kim's on this cruise! LOL

Welcome Kim! I have been away from the Boards for awhile - busy with the kids :-) LOL!

We have a ds that is 8 and a dd that will be 5 at cruise time, too :-)

Hi everyone,
I have not been here in over a month. It has been a pretty busy school season. I am so looking forward to thanksgiving and then winter break because after that Spring Break and DCL here we come:)
I do agree that Fishlips is the place to be:) I wish you can make it. I know you're coming in from Animal Kingdom and definitely will be beat. But if anyone else is game for it. I can arrange it as the time gets nearer and that way our kids can meet and hit it off. I think meeting up by the Goofy Pool around 3 should be fun:) Hmmm we gotta come up with a theme for our group and magnets for our doors. Even t-shirts LOL!!!!
Well I hope to keep signing in here ever so often. I know by the time February hits....I'll probably be on here everyday to check in with everybody. HUGS!

On a previous cruise we all went to Home Depot and got lime green Mickey Ears paint chips, put our names on them and wore them to the gathering onboard. Have to remember safety pins if we do that!

:santa:

Hi everyone,
Seems to be that the cruise is getting closer, ( we booked dec 4th '06) so ages ago !.
We would be very interested in meeting everyone but will be unable to meet the eve before, as we have booked 8 nights in Orlando pre-cruise.
3pm on cruise day sounds good though.

Carl (DH) and I are just trying to decide about Palo and excursions and which nights etc. We have booked the REAS package as this is a birthday trip for me.

Roll on the next few months. :cool1: 127 days to go :cool1:
