Now just have to catch up on 27 pages of msgs. Unless someone has the Cliff Notes: :)

This will be my 8th DCL cruise, my 2nd solo one (probably, though this might change), and in all my cruises I had a blast getting to know my fellow DISers beforehand and plan fun stuff for the cruise.

Any knitters / crochet people on board? I never seem to have enough time for it, but I plan to once again try to get some knitting time in at the Cove Cafe... Would love company!

TTFN!

Just wanted chime in. To my fellow PC cruisers this year who wanted pins you will aprecate this, and to all I encourage you to do the same. I sent a email to DCL asking if they do pins made just for this cruise to use the RSP process so we don't have to spend hours infront of the store waiting.

One thing that was fun on the WBTA last year is that each group had a name of a fruit - would be fun to do something like that again (or do something Hawain themed).

This idea had crossed my mind too.

We could go Lilo and Stitch themed for group names -
Lilo
Stitch
Nani
Jumba
Pleakley
Gantu
Cobra Bubbles etc

We could go for Hawaiian Islands -
Hawaii
Oahu
Kauai
Maui
Molokai
Lanai
Niihau
Kahoolawe

I'm sure there are lots of other great ideas too :)

I think we are chatty!! :surfweb::rotfl: We already have as many posts on this thread as there is on the Alaska that we are on! Not a very big or chatty group there, but still....4 days!! :surfweb:

I vote for Disneyland both before AND after the cruise!! :yay:

Wish we could do this too! Sadly I think lack of funds will rule it out....

So who would like to tell me how to post pics or point me to a link that will explain it to me??:thumbsup2

to post pictures on these forums upload pictures onto website photobucket and then copy and paste img link ......hope this helps

We are so thrilled to have a spot on this cruise! Although not very active, I did meet many of you before on the Dis boards for the 2010 Eastbound Transatlantic, and our ship next door neighbors that cruise were Dis acquaintances (hmmmm, did I spell that correctly?) that became cruise and post cruise friends as well. Looks like we aren't likely to get those sorts of upgrades on this one! So, I figured out today that we just need to save $20 a day for 380+ days. . .:hippie:

just had a thought about the amount of platinum and gold cc members on this cruise....help me out please

when the newbies or silvers get to book their excursions is it slim pickings??? If some are really popular will disney expand bookings? I know a lot of you guys have sailed together before and on these long cruises so any info would help me out! Thanks

also.....is their a palo brunch on all of the sea days? I really want to eat palo dinner a few times, and have never tried brunch cant wait to get the chance...

thanks to the previous poster for the atv pics! wow that looks great, too bad it's on oahu, we have a lot to fit in that day, we will for sure be going to pearl harbor, and want to go check out aulani....but if aulani is not possible, this looks like a close second.

aan1701- thanks for inquiring about pins, we collect as well...

Im glad to do it, Ive been reading all the posts and theres alot of great ideas!

I think a vote is good and I was defintly planning on the groups. I was hoping like the WBPC that we could cover all the days or majoriy of them.
I definitly think there should be a cut off date as I know like me some people dont want to be running at the last minute but I usually make a few extras anyway in case anyone adds as I dont want anyone being left out especially kids .
What i was hoping to do is start taking names and cabin numbers to see how many do sign up and then in few months or so we can start breaking into groups and see how big the groups would or could be based on how many people sign up and cabins there are. There are also some families traveling together that might want to act as their own group.I know one person who doesnt want to participate who could be the liason and know what each group is planning so we get no duplicates and everyone is surprised.
I know for the B2B in 2 weeks I have made 140 of something ( shhh its a secret):rolleyes1 Im taking them in a carry on and then will bring the goodies I get and other souveneirs we buy once I pass out my gifts right back home in that carry on .
I want this to be fun for everyone and not stressful so im all ears!
I think the best idea for now is people to pm me the names of everyone in cabin so I can make a spreadsheet and see what are totals will be for a vote later.
I work nights so im on at weird hours but try to hop on whenever I can :goodvibes

The easiest way is to create a new worksheet in the same location of the Roll Call sheet so everyone can put in their own information. You can then copy and paste that into excel as you want (daily, weekly, etc.) This allows everyone to put their own information in exactly as you want it, and saves you a lot of time!

If you want me to create it, tell me what information you want to capture and I will create it!

I can give you my personal experience. I am gold and went on the 15 PC cruise in 08. I think that cruise sold out in 6 hours ! Lot's of repeat cruisers on board.:) I had no problems booking or didn't hear anyone having problems. Alot of people booked there own tours not using DCL. We did groups of like 15 or more for Colombia and alot of people did ziplining in PV.

With so many sea days I think there is enough for everyone to do Palo. That's whats nice about doing the longer cruises.

I did not see this mentioned on the DCL website, so I am assuming the answer is no. But does anyone know if any of these ports are tender ports? Thanks for any insight!

thanks castoff...i was thinking booking own tours several places...glad to know other dis'ers would join in possibly...looking forward to planning

Is this sold out?

I believe so. :thumbsup2

Sorry I don't know. Good question though !

No problem. Booking on your own saves money. Also looking forward to the planning. I set my binder up this morning. I feel like I am behind.:rotfl2:
One of the things I wanted to do was some whale watching but I guess that's only good Jan-April. It will be done by the time we arrive. I am sure I will find something else !
