hello cruisers!

I am a silver castaway who just got back from an alaskan cruise on the wonder. WOW - best time of my life. I want to book another cruise and I am dead set on Hawaii. It is an added bonus that my 35th birthday falls during the cruise - May 10th.

Any tips on how I can best land an inside cabin? The countdown to Hawaii is on!

We have twice made 10:30 AM flights out of LAX after Disney cruise, but you have to carry your bags and do walk off.

When I first tried to book this cruise, there were no available cabins, so I called DCL to ask what was the best way to get a reservation. I was told to look online or call very early in the morning because cancellations fall off at midnight. We are stationed in Europe right now and are four hours ahead of the east coast and so the very next morning I tried when I got up, around 7am (3am EST), and there was an available cabin. Maybe you could check online after midnight and see what happens.

The person also told me that it was possible that after the final payments were due, mine is Dec 31st, that sometimes people can't make those and then more rooms will open up.

Keep looking at the DCL webiste. After midnight or very early am seems to be the best.

Trying to do some research on hotel room prices at Disneyland etc and they say they are doing maintenance and to call to reservations

Wow ! What time did you get off the ship ? Last 15 day I don't think we were allowed till about 9:00 am. It was all backed up. Due to customs.

If you do decide to do Disneyland until your flight, I have used Disneyland Express before and it was vey nice. It does have a cost but I thoght it was very reasonable. $15.00 to John Wayne airport from GCH. I just talked to the consierge at GCH and they made the reservation for me. I don't know what it costs to other airports like LAX or Ontario.
My kids took a MR on Jan and found that there is a difference form PC and Long Beach. We don't have the 5 hour floght but we have the Long Beach grouches.The port in LA is not very organized like at Port Canaveral. It is much smaller and less friendly.

Thanks! I just looked this up and Disneyland Resort Express to or from LAX is $15.99/adult $12.49/child (each way).

Great deal! I think we will book this before the cruise for a couple nights stay at a Disneyland Resort (still to be determined!)

Just want to point out that the port DCL uses is in San Pedro not Long Beach. Just a FYI.

Gydell ! Sure did ! A weight has been lifted. I like the fact that I arrive in lAX in the afternoon. Even if my room isn't ready they can store my luggage and I can still get things I need before cruise. I am pretty sure I will be staying at the Doubletree. That is the only thing left for me to do.

We came to one Pajama Breakfast and we even got in the photo. Last year on the 2010 WBTA, we were left out because we have to enter Lumiere's from the back entrance and everyone else met in the front for a photo. I am going to make sure we split up this time....Chuck and I and Patrick will wait out front until everyone else is there, then go around to sit. I think that will work out better.

Just wanted to say hi. DW and I decided today we needed to get out of town for the night and jumped on a plane to Phoenix. Ah the joys of working for an airline. We will go back home tomorrow night after hanging with one of DW friends tomorrow who lives in Phoenix.
