This is an amazing thread! There is more activity on this thread NOW, 8 months before the cruise than there ever was on the thread for the Alaskan cruise I just got back from. That tells me that I have selected the right cruise - this will be DCL's best cruise yet!

Now, I just need to get a cabin!!! I have a dummy reservation for the Dream for December 2012 and I have transferred the ressie to DU in the hopes that they can grab a cabin for me one night after midnight once the next person cancels. Finger crossed; where is that pixie dust when I need it?

Thanks! We live in Missoula, just 96 miles into Montana so our drive should be only about 9 - 10 hours, way less time than it takes us to deal with airports and fly to FL. And yes, it can take alot to drive across MT!!

Thanks! We live in Missoula, just 96 miles into Montana so our drive should be only about 9 - 10 hours, way less time than it takes us to deal with airports and fly to FL. And yes, it can take alot to drive across MT!!

Missoula was on a map on our TV news yesterday. They were showing the spread of the heatwave and only had a few town names on, but there you were!! You were blue not red like the Eastern side!!

Hope your road trip goes well and you have a great cruise(in case I don't get to say it again before you set sail)

I just checked at 4:10 am PT and it is sold out with nothing available. I am starting to check if I wake up late at night hoping to catch a handicap accessible become available. Our travel agent supposedly has us on a waiting list with DCL to exchange our room for one. They were all sold out before the second time cruisers were allowed to book. But I am not sure how good DCL is about holding a room for a "waiting" list if someone calls right away when one is available so I am covering our bases. It would be cheaper than what they gave us so we could fit wheelchair in our room. Keeping my fingers crossed. If it does ever happen I will instantly post our current cabin becoming available here....

If you would like to meet for lunch coming or going thru I'd be happy to meet you somewhere on your route if I am free. Fun to meet others from DIS board we are sailing with ahead of time. What excursions are you doing in Alaska? We had a great time and I am still working on scrapbook from our cruise in May.

I was looking through some threads this morning and thought that I would like to start a Photography group or meet for the cruise! I love taking photos and would love to meet up with some others that would like to do photos while on board.

I have also been looking at doing a photo excursion in kahului, but of course, it is probably to early to start really looking into that.

I love taking photo's....being retired military, and used to be on a Helicopter crew (crew chief for UH-60 Black Hawks), I have had many points of view that I don't think I'll ever get again...

We have been having pleasant weather since summer finally arrived late June. We have hit 90 degrees a couple of times, but mostly in the mid to upper 80s. Really nice. Have I mentioned that I LOVE Montana?

That would be great, but...we are traveling with 2 other families and have made plans with them that will keep us on the move! They want to go to the Fish Market on the way home, so downtown Seattle (ugh!!) is on our list. They have not driven in Seattle traffic before, so we shall see if they think it was worth the effort afterwards. We have one street here in Missoula that gets backed up about a mile on a bad day during "work traffic" and that is the extent of our traffic problems.

Hi gang!
I'm away at a nursing conference Oct 1-4 in Las Vegas! I'm not a gambler, so any free time will be spent at the pool or at shows. And, I might be on-call for one of those weekends, but I don't have my schedule yet. So, right now anyway, all the other weekends are available. My fellow nurses are pretty good about covering call or switching with each other, so I could probably do any date that works for you guys! Looking forward to meeting everyone!

I see you are from Toano, VA. I went to school at WM for 5 years in Williamsburg. I graduated with a master's degree in 2000. I love that area and return frequently for recruiting at the College.

I am also a nurse to and we used to live in Seattle and drive to Montana ever summer in our Minnie Winnie. I am also from Virginia and both my Uncle and Cousin went to school at WM. My one cousin even was married there.
