DCL is supposedly going to make an announcement tomorrow. Since it's also Aulani's grand opening, do you think DCL will be announcing an October Hawaii cruise?

No doubt in my mind that is what it is. 2013 will come later.

I am officially on vacation. We are not leaving until Sunday afternoon when we will check into one of the airport hotels and we don't fly out until Monday, but it is still a nice feeling.

Val....in my online reservation still says 12/31/2011. Is final payment date of 2-14-12 for everyone? I'm not using TA so I can ask him/her to get this in writing.

What I'm worried is that most of us have end of December in online reservation, so they must have this in their system....if you don't pay all the way till the end (we will anyway) of December will system drop and cancel their reservation?

For me it has always remained at February 13th (one day earlier as I have booked through a travel agent). I would ring DCL and ask them for a revised confirmation.

I love the design so much, that even if we had to cancel, I still would want to have the shirts.

I feel the same way ! So glad I am on this one !! We are booked on the Fantasy for our anniversary. That's in November and we couldn't do both !

Not switching to October personally. October is food and wine time at WDW. Will have to see what my roommate is thinking though. Although I am wondering if there will be fewer kids in October (we're hoping for adult time in the kids club like we had on the Panama)

I can't believe this. My reservation confirmation, that I printed out on 4-7-11, the day I booked this cruise, indicated my final payment due date was 14-Feb-2012. So way back when, when we discussed this on these boards, my TA called DCL and got written confirmation that the final payment date was 1-Dec-2011. Then the discussion here was final payment was 31-Dec 2011. So, because I was basing the shirt order and payment date around final payment date, I called my TA again and asked her to call DCL and get another confirmation - in writing. They indicated this has been an issue and DCL has reversed the final payment date decision to be the original date February 14, 2012. They have justed faxed her confirmation of this date.

So, here we are, back to the original discussion. Many people don't want to pay or commit to paying for a shirt until they have made final payment for the cruise. They don't want to be stuck with shirts they may not use. As I previously stated, the shirt order date would have been tight, but would have worked when the Final Payment Date (FP dt) was in December -- but there is no way we can wait to order the shirts until after 2-14-12 and get them back in time.

I can just stick with the end-of-year dates but the issue is that if people won't order shirts until after the FP dt they will not be able to participate. If we have more then 50 but less then 100 orders, the cost will be the highest price, $45.75 plus any shipping charges if I mail them to you. Are shirt-buying cruisers, including the 75 who have pre-ordered, willing to pay this much? Will we get 100 or more paid orders if the shirt payment date is before FP dt? Will at least 50 of the 75 preordered pay?

Was this whole shirt item a dumb idea?

To be honest....... I am on the fence for spending $$ on the shirts. There are alot of people on this cruise that is on the WBTA right now. I am hoping you will get more shirt orders. When is the deadline for ordering ?

My confirmation from DCL has always said PIF date is 2/14/12. I made a payment and asked CM what the date is. He said 2/14/12; but we decided to have trip PIF by 12/31/11. We just feel more comfortable with that.

I hate when the I-phone spell check changes my word. I typed THERE and it changed the post to THEIR. I can correct my post but when I have been quoted it stays wrong...... Aargh......

Spring is our vacation for the two of us and fall is our vacation with our sons, daughter-in-law and granddaughter--usually WDW. So we are keeping this one too.

I called about the PIF date months ago. There was a "glitch" for those who booked early on. That glitch was in our favor having a PIF date of Feb 14. Sometime after intital opening of bookings DCL realized and switched to the 120 day PIF date. Those with Feb 14th are being honored to stay at Feb 14th. There are those though whose PIF date will be earlier then Feb.

The shirts are not a dumb idea. If you only have 75 inerested in ordering shirts we are OK with the price. There will be alot of people wishing they had the shirts when we are on the cruise including some of the disers who did not order. Alex

Amanda and I switched this morning to the October Hawaii cruise. Those dates work out better for us. I was looking forward to seeing our WBTA friends again....
