I still have to read about 100 pages of the old thread...but I am going to keep up over here....

Classes are over for the summer...if anyone hears me talking about taking a summer class again - please toss me overboard!!!!

i will most likely be releasing a veranda cabin in the near future - if anyone is lurking who is interested in it...PM me please.

Wow-new thread already, that was fast! It is April already? Nope..too bad.

Hi all! Me and my wild crew will be joining you all next year. I've been neglecting this thread because of my other Disney trips that are coming up. But i'm here now! I love the fabric. It would be awesome to make sarongs out of it, too.

Wow-new thread already, that was fast! It is April already? Nope..too bad.

I have two vacations planed before this cruise. Now granted I am really looking forward to taking this cruise, it is going to be such and adventure crossing the Pacific and back, but I am going on vacations with family and friends in Sep/Oct. for Food and Wine at EPCOT. That I am relly looking forward to, and then spending my birthday in March with my Awesome wife in a concierge room wit our DVC at Anilmal Kingdom, yes we were able to get a Studio in the club level at the 11 month mark. So here is to vacation.

I have made the first batch of magnets for this cruise today. I had today off and after the riots and looting in my home town yesterday, I did not feel like leaving the house today. So I used the time to work on my Fish Extender gifts for my October cruise and to make magnets for both cruises.

Corinna

Stay safe! And the same to anyone else affected by the violence!

Really debating if we will add new magnets since we had one stolen from our door on inaugural Alaska cruise...and it was one my daughter designed for us that was a replica Disney name badge shape, with her name on it but also her two favorite characters Goofy and Alien from Toy Story. They left the one with my name and Tinkerbll on it. She worked hard on that magnet, it made me mad......I went walking on some of the decks checking to see if it showed up on another cabin door.

We will put the magnets that are really special on the inside of the door instead of the outside, we have also been lucky putting the more elaborate ones higher on the door - I cannot help thinking it is mostly kids that snag magnets off doors, and I try to keep them above the level of at least the younger ones.

I know this is a bit off the present topic; but does anyone have any ideas when we might be seeing what Port Adventures are going to be offered? Just want to get some idea of what's out there. :confused3 Thanks fran

I have posted the following on the 3rd posting on this thread. If any of you know of a better way to provide a form you can complete and send to me, I would love to hear about it.

If it is your sincere intent to order a cruise shirt, please copy the order form found on the google link:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1OAn7Xz7SUa9A9_xguleVOT1XcNO4VlRZFmYtuC0NXlg/edit?hl=en_US#
From the edit function click ‘select all’ and then ‘copy’.
Paste into an e-mail, complete form and send it to my attention at valbob89@aol.com.

Although early interest infers moderate sales numbers and shirts selling for $33.50 or less, prices could range as low as $26 or as high as $45.75 (see table). This price includes the manufacturer’s bulk shipping and handling charges but not the cost to mail them to the individual group members. Bob & I will handle that mailing and advise you of the pass-through charge from the USPS. Regardless of when you order, every shirt will be sold at the same price. However, we cannot confirm the cost until the order deadline. If you’re confident you’ll buy a certain number of shirts even if we haven’t reached a discounted price, please place your order immediately. I will update the thread weekly with the number ordered by that date, and resultant unit pricing.
The manufacturer requires the total order for our group reflect at least 10 shirts in each size requested, i.e. if we order 100 shirts, 89 adult size large 10 size medium and 1 size small, they cannot fill the size small order. The group must order a minimum of 5 yards of material in order to include any material. (If we do not receive ample orders, you will not be charged and your yardage order canceled.)
They have not offered child size shirts before. Therefore, based on your feedback, they will determine the sizes they are able to offer.
We received a sample adult 2XL shirt for review. It has five buttons, including the one at the collar, which closes to about 19 inches. The camp-cut shirt was true to size with the following measurements: from bottom of collar to bottom of back of shirt is 32.5 inches, back of shirt width at bottom of sleeve and waist is 28 inches and length of shirt sleeves is 12 inches at the shoulder seam. With front panels of 14.5 inches, the 2XL is roomy at 56 inches. The 100% polyester shirts were selected due to the fact they do not shrink, will wrinkle much less than other material and dry quickly – all factors when considering travel wear. Additionally, this lightweight, breathable polyester is the best medium for color transfer, and with the complexity of our design this was a factor.
Although Bob really would love to have a pocket on the shirt, he agrees that the busy design would not lend itself to adding a pocket unless it is matched up to the shirt print. Even Tommy Bahama's, that he pays over $150 for do not have matched pockets any more. So, no pocket will be on the shirt.
Payment will be required by Dec. 1, 2011 via PayPal, utilizing an account established for this event only. Further information forthcoming.
Current schedule has the shirts being received from the manufacturers by March 1, 2012 for distribution to you by March 15, 2012.

I just sent you a PM about size

I'm a little concerned lately about what the sea conditions might be like on our cruise. Any comments?

I have a question about the sizing. I am assuming that these sizes are men's sizes? So maybe a man's large might transer into a womans medium, etc? :confused3

So sorry Corinna. Hope you and your family are safe and well.:littleangel:

Val, wishing Bob good health. Crazy how they cannot figure out diagnosis with all the technology we have. My mom was near death in Jan/Feb, no diagnosis ever but Dennis worked with her doc to make some med changes and she is now thriving again. The one thing drilled into his head during pharmacy school was to "think druggily" since all drugs have some kind of side effects. Unfortunatly she lost her independence thru all this and now lives in an assisted living home rather than alone.

Love, love the shirts! They are perfect in every way! We want 2 for sure.

Hi Angie, prayers for your Mom. Reminds us how fortunate we all are.

Yes, I would think they are men's sizes. I can ask Becky if she has measurements. It seems they run true to size - men's size anyway.

Thanks again for all your concern and suggestions for Bob's health. We saw yet another doctor yesterday. He has him trying another medicine for stomach spasms. They also sent us for an xray and ordered a CT with contrast of his abdomen.

I love that there is fabric by the yard available! I need to consult with the husband, but I think I can swing this. So, when do you need the "order" by? Are you thinking mid-September? Sooner?

I'm SO excited now. Great Job, Val.

Corinna, hope things have quietened down and hope you and your family are all safe.

I'm a little concerned lately about what the sea conditions might be like on our cruise. Any comments?
Was wondering the same thing. Has anyone done a similar cruise? I've read somewhere on the DisBoards that the Pacific can be pretty rough!

Hi Val,
I have just sent you our order. Thanks again for all your hard work on this.

Corinna
