Be very careful out there, Corinna. Geez, that's so scary!

I think I'm going to make some magnets for this trip. I can tell you I'm very excited about us having matching Hawaiian shirts! Val, you totally rock!! :worship::worship::worship:

Where do you get the printoffs and stuff to make the magnets? :confused3

Fortunately all is quiet tonight. There is a huge police presence in town and our police force is being supported by neighbouring police forces and even police officers from Scotland have come down to help. There have been a few more arrests. The first people who were arrested last night have been sentenced already and courts here and around the country will work all night to dole out justice to those involved in this mindless violence. Let's hope that all stays quiet not only here, but in all cities in the UK that have been affected by this.

Good for the courts!.. I wish ours worked that quickly.. Might solve alot of issues we have in our country!.. :thumbsup2

I have my designs printed through one the online photo printing companies like Snapfish. I then put them through my Xyron Creative Station. The cartridge that I use puts a magnet on the back and laminates the front. Then I just cut it out.

Our courts don't normally act so swiftly either. It can be months or even years before a suspect goes to trial. However, the rioting, looting, vandalism and just mindless violence definitely hit a nerve in this country. I think they are also hoping that swift sentences will act as a deterrent.

Corinna please stay safe. I remember the L.A. riots. It was scary to see what was going down on T.V.

Val, wishing Bob good health. Crazy how they cannot figure out diagnosis with all the technology we have. My mom was near death in Jan/Feb, no diagnosis ever but Dennis worked with her doc to make some med changes and she is now thriving again. The one thing drilled into his head during pharmacy school was to "think druggily" since all drugs have some kind of side effects. Unfortunatly she lost her independence thru all this and now lives in an assisted living home rather than alone.

Love, love the shirts! They are perfect in every way! We want 2 for sure.

Continue to stay safe! Last summer I was stuck in my home in downtown Toronto with the G20 riots... scary when it's happening where you live!

Oh Boy! IS that ever the truth! I coughed my lungs out for a year - they tried adding all kinds of different things to no effect. I felt like Typhoid Mary. I finally convinced my pulmonolgist to reduce and finally get rid of one of my asthma meds. the coughing got less and less with each reduction and finally disappeared entirely about a week after I stopped using the medication. Now, I'm off all of the asthma meds and the bp med too.

So sorry the mom lost her independence. That's so sad.

Usually the more talented among us create lovely graphics that are specific to the cruise and you can print them out, laminate them, and glue magnets to the back. Alternately, you can get magnet paper and just print them off. There are also some DISers on the board who will let you use their creations. Check this thread: http://www.disboards.com/forumdisplay.php?f=105 for ideas and graphics.

I will check it out.. Thanks!

Really debating if we will add new magnets since we had one stolen from our door on inaugural Alaska cruise...and it was one my daughter designed for us that was a replica Disney name badge shape, with her name on it but also her two favorite characters Goofy and Alien from Toy Story. They left the one with my name and Tinkerbll on it. She worked hard on that magnet, it made me mad......I went walking on some of the decks checking to see if it showed up on another cabin door.

Hi all! Me and my wild crew will be joining you all next year. I've been neglecting this thread because of my other Disney trips that are coming up. But i'm here now! I love the fabric. It would be awesome to make sarongs out of it, too.

That is such a shame. I have only done magnets for the last 3 cruises, but so far I have been lucky. On a number of occasions I have come back and people have put extra magnets on my door, but none of mine have ever gone missing.
