Erik and Jason congratulations and i'm sure the ceremony is going to be beautiful.

Can't wait to meet you two.

I'm sorry to hear that. I just signed up yesterday but didn't put an order in. I was planning on doing that today. What day do you arrive? We arrive 4/27. If you arrive that day I have no problem addingyour stuff to our order. If you get there sooner, maybe you can hold on to my stuff till I get there. Let me know. I know it's free delivery with that first order. If you don't mind the delivery charge, I have no problem putting an order in for you.
If you want to do this just PM me. I can give you my info and let you know what room we're in once we check in at VGC

Thanks for the offer, but we are doing our usual shopping stop off on the way to GC.

am i reading this correctly - the polynesian centre is closed while we are in port!!!!!!!!!! Oh no!

Yes, it is run by a church that is very strict about the observance of Sunday.

Greetings Hawaii Cruisers!!

Oy, I know it's been about 2 million years since I last posted----or at least that's what it felt like when I saw how far behind I was in pages of posts!!!

I know some people have been wondering "What happened to Erik & Jason?!"....well, our crazy life happened. Life since early 2012 has been a gauntlet, to say the least. I got a big promotion on the 1st of the year which means a lot more responsibility and so work has been a bit brutal...plus we've been planning our wedding....and trying to have a life and something had to give----and it was the DIS. The dust has settled, however, and I've spent the last week actually doing my best to catch up with everything....and NOW WE'RE BACK!

We're super excited that one week from today we'll be flying out to DisneyLand to begin this honeymoon vacation of a lifetime (and we desperately need the quiet, relaxing, alone time together----days at sea, here we come!!! :thumbsup2)....but of course the biggest news of all is that 27.5 hours from now the song "I See the Light" (from "Tangled") will be played on a big beautiful gold harp and Jason and I will, in turn, walk into a room filled with approximately 200 of our friends and family for our wedding! Oy....it has been a journey! It's been a lot more work...and a lot more time...and a LOT more money than we expected when we first set out to have an event to celebrate with the people who care about us...but we're super excited and I think we're going to make some amazing memories!! :lovestruc

OK....now on to DIS business....as horrifying as this is going to sound to all of you people who are fully packed sleeping in your cars in the airport parking lots waiting for your flights that are a week away ;)....we have not started printing out the lanyards yet. That is Monday night's project (it had to be delayed until after the wedding). So that means it is still not too late to make any changes or corrections (hint hint all you GTY folks who are still listed as GTY on my list!!!) to your listing on the lanyard list------AND there are still lanyards that are not yet spoken for, so any newcomers to the list in the past month or so can certainly email me and we'll get you hooked up (for details on how to request lanyards or update your info, check post #1 on this thread).

See you all in about a week!

I hope that you will have an absolutely amazing day.

Has anyone done this before on the Magic when you had unrelated persons in the same stateroom using different accounts? do they all get charged to the primary name's account or can we get them split between us?

I know that whenever we put the tips on the stateroom account, half of them turned up under my name and half of it under Graham's name so I assume it will be the same with the auto-tips.

It is all happening at the moment. The last of the packages that I need for the cruise arrived today. Now I just have to hope that the last of the packages that I sent to my friend in Los Angeles arrives. It has been tracked at the International Sorting Centre in New York last Saturday and has not been tracked since.

The Navigator is all done and tomorrow I will send out 127 copies of this. I have uploaded it on my iPad and my iPhone. I prefer it on the iPad, because of the bigger screen, but it looks OK on the iPhone as well. Once again to everybody who contributed.

Tomorrow I will sort the Fish Extender gifts for the late joiners, finalize one of the Fish Extender gifts for the men and boys that are in all groups, finish one of my Secret Mickey gifts and do the last batch of magnets. I printed out my confirmations today.

Good afternoon everyone....next week at this time I will be happily on my way home from work and ready for the cruise.
Couple of questions for you guys...is most everyone wearing the shirts on to the ship on Sunday when we leave? DW and I plan on doing so and I am just curious if most everyone else will be doing it also....

Secondly...my DW hopefully will be flying standby on our Jet Blue flight. If we get on the early flight we will arrive at 1:00 P.M. We considered going over to Disneyland for the day but just decided to relax. We are staying at the Marriott LAX so I wonder if anyone can recommend a place for us to have dinner near the hotel. Nothing real fancy, just somewhere we can get a good meal to tide us over until Sunday. We will probably just have breakfast at the hotel.
Thanks!
Tom & Marilou

oh my what a good deal! AND you will be there the day before the cruise!

That is a good deal, isn't it. We will take car service from the airport to the Doubletree hotel. We're eating dinner with some of west coast thieves (previous cruise.....ship of thieves) and then meeting some new friends after dinner at the hotel.

On Sunday I'll be on an early shuttle so that we get to the port before they open it up. We'll get a good place in line.

Can't wait to see you and John. Nancy and I will be at the Doubletree on Friday night!

Makes me feel a little better knowing I am not the only one leaving my house at 3:00 AM on Saturday. :wave2: My DH will be driving me to Charleston which is a 2 hour drive. I mailed one box of FE gifts to the Doubletree yesterday. It was 7 lbs that will NOT be in my suitcase. :) My carryon has the rest of FE gifts and door decorations and Secret Mickey gifts. That one weighs 22.7 lbs!!

Tina, I'll be thinking of you as we get into the car to drive to the airport. It's good to know someone else will be awake when we are. I'm always too excited to sleep the night before we travel. You should see me bouncing off walls then night before we get onboard the ship. I can't sleep because I'm just too excited and I'm constantly watching the clock. I want to go!!!

It's Friday and I have a long list of travel items to complete. I am either super excited or super stressed....i hope the first.

We are planning on wearing ours to board and to dinner the first night.

and

the

second night

and

the

third night.

ok just kidding, but maybe the 5th night....

The precruise nightmares have begun.:scared: I dreamed that it was the last morning of the cruise, we needed to get off the ship, I had not packed any of our stuff and I could NOT REMEMBER one thing from the 15 days. No memory of meals, servers, islands...nothing.:sad2: So, I asked Dennis to let me see the photos he took and maybe it would jog my memory. This while frantically throwing stuff into suitcases. Dennis said he had not bothered to take any photos!!!! :furious: WHAT????? 15 days and no photos, no memory.:headache: Luckily our son called and woke me up!!! ::yes:::flower3:

Breathe, just breathe.

puff puff puff....got it...

Copied from the TA website:

Due to the success of a pilot program on Disney Magic® and positive feedback from Guests, Disney Cruise Line® is introducing the auto-application of gratuities on all Disney ships.

*********
If the pre-paid gratuities have not been added prior to boarding, your Clients will receive a letter upon check-in explaining the automatic charge to their onboard account. Your Clients still have the option to modify or add additional gratuity amounts, or pay in cash, by stopping by the Guest Services Desk onboard.

Not sure I like this!!!!!!!! I think we have "undertipped" once when the service was ever so bad that our head server comped us dinner in Palo - and he had to go find us....but there was no way that assistant server was getting a tip...(his money went to the head server who ended up with beverage duty. ) Granted anyone can have a bad day, but I do not really like tips in advance. Am I being a snot?

Heck you guys.... I don't remember yesterday lol

When??????

See you all in about a week!

How exciting for you that your wedding is only a day away. 200 people is a lot of guests. You're going to have a blast!

I just wanted to let you know that DCL changed my room to 5124. Thanks for making the correction.

See you in a week!!!

EDIT: Nevermind about the room number correction. I see it already says room 5124 on the spreadsheet. We're all good.

I have spoken to the hotel as we are leaving a car there for two weeks. You sign up ONLY when you check in to the hotel for the shuttle on a space available basis. Shuttles start at 10:00 AM to the ship.

Can't wait to see you and John. Nancy and I will be at the Doubletree on Friday night!

I'm so happy to be sailing with you Noel. I'm looking forward to meeting Nancy too. We're going to have such a great time. I'm so excited!!

Do you and Nancy want to come to dinner with us on Saturday? You're still a Thief so you would fit right in. Let me know and we'll add you two to the ressie.

Thank you for the invitation! We would love to have dinner with you guys. Just tell us what time and where!

We will be close behind but we get to sleep in until 4:30:hourglass

Sleeping until 4:30am is better than 2:30am (coz we're being picked up at 3:00am) BUT that's if you can sleep. I probably won't. I'll just stay up and sleep on the plane.
