I had two yards and was able to make the skirt....I had one piece of 14 inches left - no border was left, along with several scrap pieces.
I originally planned a tiered skirt but after making the pattern with cotton I abandoned the idea for this fabric. Fair warning, it frays, so I ended up with lining it as well as finishing the seams. It is much better for straight stitching and not gathering....But I am not a regular seamstress.
Enjoy whatever you decide.

Have a few questions for everyone:
As a group are we all panning to wear our shirts for embarkation?
Does anyone know when a group photo is planned?
Do we have a time and place for our Champagne Girl event?
Have the lists for the candy exchange been posted yet?
I have to focus on some school work for the next several days and may not be on line for awhile. Just trying to update my itinerary.
Well, THAT's a NOT-SO SECRET mickey anymore![]()
Trying to "budget" for all of the extra stuff on my cruise today. I have the cruise paid for and have my budget for excursions, internet fees and tips. What else are you guys budgeting for??
oh, wow, that is beautiful! I am leaning toward a skirt. I can wear it with a cami and the Hawaiian shirt we bought from Val and Bob. But I might be able to make a dress, after all. My problem is I like to cover up my legs as much as possible!![]()
The other things that I figure I will end up adding (since I do half of the time) is one salon visit, Palo, an occasional drink -or three- that I actually pay for, maybe bingo once or twice since it's a long journey...and maybe a couple items from the gift shops. But assigning a monetary value to that is tough!!
We do get one Palo visit free, but on such a long cruise, will probably do brunch again. We're staying on board for the 7-night to vancouver, so I'm trying to be "good" with finances, but we will see.....!!![]()

Sounds like everyone will be wearing their shirts for embarkation and there may be a group photo day! I can't wait!!
If anyone needs a Cruise shirt in a Medium, let me know!! I found my size small already!
Hooray!!
